I’ve owned a couple of Saab 9-3’s and found them excellent.

They are the same chassis and share many suspension and brake components with vectra therefore are extremely cheap to replace general service items.

Don’t worry about the fact they don’t make them anymore. Almost everything is available new still online.

    I like there quirkiness.

    Report to insurer, not police.

    Let them deal with it

Are you willing to walk? I can name a couple of streets with a 10 min walk from the passport office for free.

Alternatively I can recommend a good car park very close and usually has a few spaces….

Sorry if it’s been mentioned allready.

Get to your local main fire station workshop. They will take in standard cars too for mot as it’s part of being an mot station. Obviously, they won’t do any work and therefore don’t take the mick with work needed.

Alternatively, the local council will have an mot station, same story.

Yeah, the dealership would have flashed the old ecu with your cars details. I don’t see anything wrong with that.

Im a big fan of merino baselayers and a wicking t-shirt on top. I find the light and medium weight merino moderates my body temp better.

i can recommend stay city apartments, specifically the christchurch apartments although they have a few blocks throughout dublin.

Stayed at the christchurch apartments earlier this year. Very nicely finished, in a nice area just outside the madness of the pubs

Yeah.. AS above. DONT CONTINUE TO DRIVE IT. Running it hot will turn a minor problem into a major car wrecking problem.

Id also advise against the use of radweld too.

Get the leaking part replaced and carry on with life

theres an easy fix for this.

    1. Purchase a box of matches
    2. Purchase some fuel
    3. Pour fuel over car
    4. Light fuel
    5. Buy something not french.

In reality. Do you have a seperate small key with the car? On older 306 there is an immobiliser turn off via a small yale style key under the bonnet near to the slam panel if I remember correctly. Also theres often a push buttong trigger which cuts the electrics in bumps which sometimes triggers with swapping batteries (I think) It should be on the passenger turret somewhere I think.

Then. Once its started. Buy something else.

Never has a singletrack post made me laugh so hard.. Love it..

My neighbour and I tend to have a ‘fart off’ when out about in the car…

Long periods of time in a vehicle will do that

I have one of these for work. Used and abused it for 4 years now in various fights, roll arounds and crappy conditions and its still going strong. If you have a hunt about you can get them cheaper or get the newer version.

If you had the Current Mot certificate in the glovebox of the car and this was not expected what exactly are you to produce at the office?

Even if you could tax it online prior to leaving the offence is failing to display a valid excise licence. Its a £60 ticket if your caught and it bears no relation to your insurance policy so its up to you…

Fitted a new screen and case would be easy for a repair store.. I was quoted £20 to fit a new rear case to an old 3GS from an independant apple repair store in glasgow and that involves ripping everything out…

I should say that the info im basing it on is the hype at the time when the original video appeared. Not knowing what the were actually disciplined for I couldnt say whether utilising normal batons would have made a difference.
Ive gotta be honest, If I thought someone had a gun there not enough baseball bats in the world for me to try to stop them in a busy street with built up traffic.

I remember seeing this video a year or so ago and thought.. WOW.. Thats abit much however it was a number of plain clothes officers carrying out a hard stop on a stolen motor vehicle with 4 passengers, all known to the police as weapons carries and warning signals for firearms etc. They had been following the car and were stopped in heavy traffic.

Clearly there wasnt enough to charge any officer for any type of violent crime given the circumstances however I think its fair to say that maybe a better style of hard stop should have been utilised and hence why 6 officers were disciplined for it.

I dont see any cover up or “looking after their own” as the OP has suggested.
