@davros – it is about the scenary some times. im not a pro rider (far far from it) so i go to these places not just for a good red ride but as a metal break too. being in a beautiful landscape is as important as the ride itself.

Like a couple of others on here I, too, was a long time friend of Baz’s way back from our Uni days.

Sadly, as is often the case, our paths didn’t cross as often as I would have liked but we rode some good trails in our time (including a memorable trip over the N York moors and a great trip to Afan a few years back) but I take some comfort from him popping in out of the blue just a few weeks before he passed away. He just happened to be nearby having driven from Woking to Oxfordshire to find some abandoned car :-)

It must have been a horrible situation to find yourselves in so I wanted to add my thanks to those above for what you did to help.

Asthmatic since a kid and on Ventolin when I need with 2x500mg fostair x2 per day and Mine varies between 500-600. just blew 600 then did a session on my Airofit that took it up to 630.

after a good ride it can go up to 650 but never higher.

ive also started taking Turmeric shots as well recently. They haven’t improved my PF but i no longer get that burning agony when I climb.

Absolutley Bill – not planning to take the little-un this time tho – she’s nowhere near confident enough. Next year hopefully though.

Thanks TroutWrestler – I had heard they graded harder over there (maybe its testament to the proper mountain geography) so i’ll look to blues instead.
