Well I used a free pass to try it out.

It was super loud even with my headphones.

I had to queue for machines as people didn’t share between sets and rests.

Only one rope machine which I need for my injury.

People didn’t have sport towels for wiping their sweat.

Body odour was bad. Not mine.

The changing room stunk.

It was the cheap price that attracted me.

Think I’ll stick to bands and free weights at home while riding hills.

Well yesterday it sprung another 2 different leaks on the opposite side and then the wall edge leaked and ran down the shelves.

Dad was kind enough to store my bike wheels and a classic 60’s classic radio along with carbon fibre tennis rackets… wet but covered in the orange gloop.

His neighbour complained about the chemical smell too. Smells damp and if acetate.

Guy is coming down to look on Saturday. I’ve told him if he can’t fix it, I’ll be reporting him to trading standards, my legal house legal cover and a case for a small claims court.

He said my Dad is too nice to do that. I agreed but you’re not dealing with my Dad anymore.

Dad and I use his garage for storage of bikes, electrical items and other things we won’t use till summer.

The guy is a middleman and outsourced the roofer. They did a great job on the driveway but now his garage ceiling had cracks.

Sick of it and the smell.

I have my turbo for bad weather but like the idea of escapism too.

Borrowed a friends bands and will see if it fits my door for attached exercises.

I did. They train the upper back, neck and my weak supraspinatus. Stretch neck daily.

The bands are cheap but the gym has only one rope machine being hogged last time I was there.

Had problems with both sets.

Difficult to get spares as they didn’t keep many spares.

In the end I used the rim and rebuilt with a Hope hub.

If you do buy, buy some service parts and get the diagram or part numbers.

Bat Bike ideas when doors are stuck

Lol the new big door is better than broken one and I can bolt to the ground now.

The new side door came with a wheelchair ramp but it’s going to mark the door frame and weaken it eventually. I did tell the company who surveyed and installed that I had a bike. But was always a risk of catching or scuffing the mirrors.

All sorted now.

Ok the techs said they can’t fix it and they’re sending me a new handheld rechargeable car vacuum.

I’ll give to my Sister for Xmas.

Great more clutter. I was selling things to tidy up.

Superstar have given me some links to help me take it apart as it’s been a while before I’ve taken a freehub to bits.

I’ll post some pics once I find a host.

It’s a 4 pawl unit. Novatech but Superstar put in some good bearings from SKF.

I noticed when taking off my cassette that the axel could be undone by hand.
Must have got loose.

Bearings seem ok but why did it get loose? I just hope new pawls or a freehub sort it out once I’ve tightened it up.

I’ll compare it with another identical wheelset I have.

The freehub has 4 pawls and a circular spring clip. I’ll have to get more time on Saturday to take it apart. The pawls seemed ok but one was a touch stiffer.

I heard CRC sell the pawls labelled Prime hubs of it helps others.

I just hope the pawls don’t have springs under them as I have no idea where to them from.
