Yeah tried the OHP but scratches off but will suffice for now :)

Yes JAG anodising – was just asking if anyone had used something in replacement for reanodising something :)

Almost tempted to touch up with Airfix enamel :) or light dusting of car body spray paint :)

@WW doing that but its got a short seat tube in the design – x’s fingers :)

SRAM Apex Front Mech: 0 – Shimano Ultegra Sl Front Mech: 1 – Took 5 mins to setup the new Shimano Mech I bought and shifts beautifully – for a minute there with the SRAM mech I thought I was loosing my mechanical skillz – phew ;)

Dunno – I guess around £15 or less as I don’t need insurance – Sizing is here:

    http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/road-track-bike/Ribble-Audax-Winter-7005-Frame/RIBBFRAW220

I am 6ft but it was a bit on the large size for me as I have relatively short legs – I now have a 57 Ti and used the fork and headset and seat collar on that :) Hence bare frame :)

I can take some piccies – if interested email me via my profile :)

LOL – Yeah bin bags would be cheaper – its hard enough trying to keep hydrated over a long ride let alone TRYING to dehydrate yourself ;)

I would say 18mph is a good average speed to a fit group of roadies :)

    @LOL :oops:

Haven’t been on STW much as been training for the JOGLE – I shall be glad to return to the MTB scene soon! ;)

Lol – good one that Fekt – LOL

@WW – yup still waiting but its closer than its ever been – at least I haven’t had the temptation to shag it out over the winter :)

Also depends on climbing – I did 16.3 mph on a 25 mile ride but with 2000 ft of climbing sat (after being off the bike for a little while) – I seem to average about 15-16mph on steady but quite hilly rides around Dartmoor – only get 18+ mph on flat stuff?

Yes the thumb is on the short side but usually “stretches” :) But I think the glove comes up a bit small overall – so get 1 size bigger :)

Toys – just my POV that’s all :) I have sold things on Classifieds but I make sure its is described right as don’t want any come back. If its knackered I won’t sell it – spares box or bin :)

Well I try not to judge but reading that post I am put off slightly from selling anything on here just in case the mob comes round with bombers!

he might have gotten the best guy in the world award for all we care, but he ripped a guy off and wouldn’t back down, he only has himself to blame.

@Zipyy – having quickly read through that post it did seem he offered a refund? Of did I misread it – That thread got closed for a reason – maybe best not to got there again? ;)

Jesus – that is a bit of a vendetta?

I have ridden with the guy before Xmas on a road ride and seemed OK to me?

I think peoples on-line persona can be misrepresented TBH – I sometimes have taken the wrong meaning to a post?

Cool – I can’t see a reason why it wont and found a few threads on other forums to suggest as above it works :) Cheers guys :) IIRC Apex is a rebranded Rival?

Cheers Smell – just order a Ultegra SL – To answer why is the SRAM Apex Mech I have is crap! I have been adjusting it for months now to no avail – and I much prefer the build of the shimano mechs. BTW I am not a crap mechanic blaming the mech – Its a known issue on some Apex Mech if you read around – it seems to be made of cheese – just fed up and want a decent Shimano one :)

I would contact the bus company directly and ask to speak to someone in charge – be nice (gets you further) and suggest you would pass on your advice that the driver should be more careful next time – and spell out the consequences if you had not been quick to make emergency manoeuvres etc?

If they get shirty then you are happy to push it further as you have a witness and can easily get the police involved?

I’ve a mint flite carbonio, carbon railed version you could have for £50 if you wanted to try.

    Damn – just bought a flite :(

The Comp Version – this is for another road bike – winter bike – have a old Avatar on it – I am using good pads TBH – I don’t have much meat under my sit bones TBH so maybe need a little more padding :)

Did a 5 hour ride on it the Romin the other day after adjusting the position and it was improved :)

I think I am going to try something different the Selle Flite Gel – if that’s not OK then I’ll try a more comfy Romin or Toupe :)

I had a briefly heated argument with a local recently – we started off loudly then buy the end of it she introduced herself with a name and hand shake and would say hello if she saw me again (after I explained about responsible natural MTB’ing)

I have 2 lots of endura leggings (fairly low end ones) and they have been fairly robust except for the zips and the pads have flattened a bit :)
