You never been hit Cynic-al? Sorry even if his bike is not damaged he left the scene of an accident which is a criminal offence if I am not mistaken (fair enough if you don’t want to claim damages but I would pursue with the police) – He might think this is OK and may not give a toss if he does it again in the future – he needs to realise this fact! [personally speaking of course]

various locations in the warehouse UK?

Perhaps I am wrong but retailers like Wiggle and UKBikestore etc give you an indication how long it will take to get it from their suppliers – I suspect CRC lumps in-stock items and “supplier ready” in one pot – maybe I’m wrong?

If you are in a hurry and one website says in stock and the other – 3-5 days delivery and they are the same price – which one would you go for?

This happened to a mate Sunday – left him on the tarmac after parking around the corner to have a quick peep (so his number plate wasn’t seen) – Scum! Throw the book at the little git!

I think their “in stock” is not so in-stock to me – my stuff was posted yesterday – we shall see if it turns up Sat after ordering it on Monday Morning!

I have a Kinesis GF Ti road frame – not comparable to a carbon race bike but a fantastic all rounder – love it :)

I got stopped by a lorry this morning – I was crossing the dual carriageway (where there is a path through the central reservation) – it is far safer than the “cycleway” @ drumbridges roundabout which is lethal at rush hour – I have been doing it nearly every day for 7 years – just because he has seen cyclists being dangerous he immediately labels me the same and starts having a pop. Trouble is if I say F Off it just makes his bigoted view more so?

Do I represent all cyclists then – cummon man. :(

Del – well I have quite a few events booked now with friends so not much riding on my own now upto the JOGLE – so I’ll prob pick up – maybe just a “low ebb” :) [tries not to sound like he is whining or feels sorry for himself]

“Anyway…all things being well, the FF29 will be in the UK Feb/March 2012. Pricing will be under the £500 mark.

Carbon fork will be an option and looks much better without the White painted part! It’s light and performs very well if you like that sort of thing. If you don’t, geometry is set for a 100>120mm susp fork.

Carbon wishbone version is p.type for an ‘XC Race’ version. It will have different d.tube and geometry to this trail version and will be available late 2012 after we have tested various p.types. “

I’m not a roadie – well I am at present – I am riding From John O’groats to Lands End for Charity in May hence the training – after that I aim to do some great MTB events :)

Janesy – I am building one up and usually this would give me a buzz like some class A ;) However I am missing some vital parts and its getting frustrating – maybe that’s a contribution ;)

Depends on a lot of factors I think – terrain, type of riding, type of bike etc. I can only say I run my tubeless wheels about 30-35 PSI :)

Never had that TBH and I have fitted many headsets over the years – have you tried a bit of grease – I do usually just to get it to glide in a bit better? Also I have that headset installer – have you tried greasing the threaded bar or have you put the glide bearing in the wrong place?

    Thanks guys

I do know Dave but not to talk to – maybe a good idea – Thanks for not MTFU me ;) I will try and chill a bit I think and go with the flow – I have a new MTB build waiting a few parts and I think that will inspire me when its on the track – need a break from it all I reckon :)

All good words there Rickon – I do shorter rides and push them much more but I guess it boils down to doing av 120 miles / day on the JOGLE is was is making me feel guilty. During the week I have been doing either hard 1 hour turbo / spinning class sessions and about 1.5 hour local MTB trail riding at night – perhaps I have been burning the candle too much!

I went to my friends over the weekend – got a short 1.5 hours hard ride in before we left – I was tired when I met my friends and was a miserable bugger Sunday – weather was nice and just wanted to go ride – could you call it an addiction? I apologised to my friends but felt a bit guilty when I got home.

[confessions of a cycle addict]?

I think after the event I will be riding more for pleasure and I expect my fitness is adequate now for it – tiz the guilt thing I guess but of late, training on my own, results in clock watching as you say – Too true :)

    I don’t “race” ATM – I have done races – doing a sportive Sunday with a mate and I think we’ll have “fun” :)

Yes MSP I think your prob right – I have tried to work in rest and also I have not had any time off Since Xmas – I have next week off on hols and taking my bike & Wife to the Lakes so maybe that will sort me out :)

Trouble is not if I dont do a long ride at the weekend I feel guilty that I am not putting the effort in when my other members of our JOGLE team are :( Stupid really but it becomes a way of life I guess?

@ Swiss – Oh I am grateful that I can ride (apart from the usual midlife type aches and pains) – its just mental I reckon ;) Hope your get some gusto soon :)

I know my LBS does not stock the Items I have got – TBH I do go to my LBS on occasions esp if I need Spesh gear – share the wealth but yes I have not shopped @ CRC for 5 months now – The items have been despatched this morning but as others have said many other retailers are much quicker – I try and leave good time for the order and order stuff labelled “in stock” so you expect it would be posted same or next day rather than 4 days later?

Not sure I will be using CRC again if I want it quickly anyhow – As above I use many others in my LBS and they are quicker!

I have the Apex gruppo – its good vfm but I would suggest you might have to replace the front mech – its awful – 2 months of tinkering resulted in replacing it with a Shimano Ultegra SL – set it up in 5 mins and shifts beautifully :)
