How do I get the update on my 800? Does it autodownload next time I use garminconnect or do I need to do something about it?

Download Webupdater to you PC, plug in your unit to pc USB, run Webupdater and follow instructions.

    Edit: damn too late 🙁

YOu do not necc. need your BB faced esp if its a fairly modern fame – TBH I have never faced a frame and never had BB prematurely fail or had fitting issues – IMHO of course 🙂

Do it yourself – its really easy!

If your near Exeter I’ll do it for you 🙂

Yup have 2 tubes and some freebies on the go – used it on sundays MTB event and staved off cramp well in the heat and sunshine 🙂 and better value than NUUN.

BTW the flapjacks (3 different types) and Choc covered Brownies were worth the £10 entry fee alone 🙂

Just cut out some polystyrene to fill the gaps and tape over the top?

I am sure you can get blanks but you would be best going to your LBS and getting them through Madison.

buzz – yeah but this isnt a business is it

    LOL

on a serious note, how does it cope with the fact bikers run different bite points on their brakes due to personal preferance?

    My thoughts exactly!

I used up 4 x750 bottle of energy drink on the Cornwall Tor 120Km yesterday as it was bloody hot. I had 3 bananas, 2 chewy bars and 2 gels on the ride if that helps – I also had 1 bottle of energy drink before hand and a tea cake fro breakfast (very early start) and some recovery drink after.

yeh true – they do seem to differ from year to year! However you can send them back if they dont fit?

I have spesh BG and SIDIs – for that money you’d be better off with some Spesh shoes as your unlikely to get stiff soled SIDI’s (a premium price I might add).

Maybe go for Spesh pro’s if you can find a good bargin?

£110 – small sizes – have a hunt around for some 09/10 ones going cheap?

bananas very good and so is porridge. Saw someone eating these the other day:

Also a good thing is say 1/2 to 2/3 bottle of made up energy drink before you ride to work straight away 🙂

Also have you made sure all the air is removed but using rubber hammer taps?

    http://www.cyclistno1.co.uk/features/maintenance/hope-tech-brake-bleed.htm

“Pumping the brake lever a few times, also giving the lever a tap with a rubber hammer, will remove air trapped in the lever.”

I’ve fitted a sensor like this on several bike when I works at a bike shop (cateye though) and had the exact same problem with many of them. To keep the sensor close enough to crank and wheel the flappy bit had to be up. Shit design.

Yup maybe not sh1t 😉 but not very adaptable/adjustable – perhaps they need a design that is more adjustable to fit different styles of chainstays? – I got mine for the more accurate distance measurement than the GPS not really for the cadence TBH.

I HAD to have mine pointing up – no other way as the chain stays are so close to the spokes!
