Should be OK as the mega exo axle diam should be the same as the HTII based shimano cranksets. Sometimes the tolerances are off though – I’d just try it if you have both to hand?

Erm no – if the production of carbon bikes conforms to H&S standards then were are the ethical and health issues? Also Asbestos comes in different forms, some more carcinogenic than others and when sealed in do not cause a problem.

Did you also know that silicates found in soil dust can cause pneumonitis (silicosis) so we should also wear dust masks when riding our dusty trails or band workers from exposure?

7 miles and I ride in all conditions – I don’t use top notch kit I use cheap but functional Lidl stuff – So when I get there wet and muddy then I can get changed and dont stink – I don’t mind getting up a sweat!

LOL – no they are not the worst things and prob worst is still to come but I have not signed a thing with them (I can categorically say this) – if just bugs me they can flout the law and get away with it – takes the p!$$

BTW they are the vendors EAs not ours and as we have been waiting for 5 weeks for our memorandum of sale this took the biscuit.

I’ll only pursue it if they dont head my snotty email!

I shall see if that shuts them up but yes I will if they push it further!

Basically your peed off coz you couldn’t order the item via their slow website so without being able to look at their T&C’s you went via the shop only to find that they will not sell via the shop – OK I’d be miffed but there you go? If you don’t like them just don’t use them?

If that’s their new policy then the guy behind the counter can’t do anything or help you further?

    But you have stated:

In the shop, there was a typed A4 paper sign saying that they wouldn’t sell goods through the shop any more, it was just for reserve-and-collect orders.

    So they won’t – period?

PLEASE NOTE: Our Warehouse Shop is only available for THE SALE AND COLLECTION OF RIBBLE BIKES and for RESERVE AND COLLECT ORDERS.

So you can buy bikes there?

    Payment

Payment for Reserve and Collect can only be made on a credit card. We will require your card details when you order the item but your card will only be charged when you collect the goods.

So not even a shop then?

Well I guess that is our interpretation – as its 100% online is by definition now not a shop just a physical presence for pickup?

    foxyrider

Sometimes their website is slow – I presume that they are unable to process CC orders / cash in the shop if they are now 100% online – So…..

As said above if you can’t wait then get it somewhere else?

How about emailing them and telling them you have ordered it elsewhere because their website was too slow instead of ranting?

I’d say 1995/6 – I have the Comp A1 FS which I got in 1996? Same Manitou Spyder R’s on it so it much be close and its steel – went over to Alu from the A1 model but I think they still made a steel version.

Yeh Alan said you got one – Pleased with it Martin? – I already have my Five so a Virtue would be the same (although lighter 😉 ) – You have to pop down for a ride sometime 🙂 ?

BTW Janet got a Felt road bike end of last year 🙂

I have F120 remotes and they are fab – very responsive, lockout after 1 year is fine and I have only done 3 seal cleans in 1 year and every time the fluid has been clean and the foams just a tiny bit grubby – the uppers have been spotless from new 🙂

LOL – Fuzzy – You read my mind Martin 😉 Not allowed until we sell our house and move down the road 🙁

Five = Good for technical riding
XCPro3 – great for everything but hard on the arse over a long distance 🙂

So I can see a niche for another FS bike 😉 We shall see 🙂

Have you tried to give it a quick service – esp as oil is leaking? Prob wont alter the PP but prob solve the leaks unless the shock body is worn?

£24 from winstanleys but I would suggest putting up a wanted in STW or go to ebay 🙂

Edit: as above if you are near Exeter I have one you can borrow if you ever need it 🙂

I got mine 2nd hand from STW classfieds – BTW you get the tool with teh full retail XTR crankset but not with an OEM set as I found out 😉

I reckon its not recognising the microSD as the water is shorting out the pins – I reckon as above if you just dry it out it will be fine – I have washed many a SD card and pen drive on a hot wash and all been fine!

    foxyrider

Probably not – I guess its a very grey area. I think if its really that minor then I wouldn’t worry – Is only really if its a long standing issue or things are written down or as you say involve the council/police – I think we are probably being a bit too cautious but there you go 🙂

    @Wombat – hadn’t thought about it like that – cheers 🙂

No – just removal if you use say fine nose pliers to put the last nylon thread protector ring (crank cap) in at the end.

I wrote this article if its any use?

Yes but if you don’t do the 2 flaps up then it poss not IPX7 anymore?

    foxyrider

    Obviously not but cheers 🙂

I’d open both flaps, remove card and put it in the airing cupboard – I expect you didn’t do the rubber cover up properly – the card will be fine – just dry the microSD slot out (which I think is sealed from the rest of the innerds) and put the card back in and then try – else back to Garmin?

    Edit: oops too late

All too familiar – and without witnesses I expect its your word against theirs unless he has been reported before.

To make you feel better someone cut me up on a round about last week on my way home from work. I looked at him and just shook my head and just cycled off. He blasted past shouting “I did see you mayte!” – so I returned “well why didn’t you give me space?……

You get jerks in all walks of life and unfortunately they are allowed to drive 🙁

But I would push it and see if you can get somewhere with it – he might not try it again if it goes as far as a police visit?

    Same as all HTII setups:

    http://www.cyclistno1.co.uk/features/maintenance/shimano-ultegra-hollowtech-ii-crank-service.htm

However HTI as above use a crank extractor tool.
