+1 for boa wrench – most DIY or motor mechanics shops will have them inc Halfrauds as you can use them for taking oil filters off 🙂

In the link what is the metal piece that is used to support the freehub? Is that a genuine tool or something home made. Looks a nice idea to protect the freehub while working on it.

Its actually the seal insertion tool:

Its in the hope drift kit.

You can also get a hope support bush if you dont want to use the wood supports: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=8031

Used to support and protect the hub/wheels when fitting and removing bearings from hubs.

Have a look here as well – I presume the chain and jockey wheels are free running?

You can damage them replacing them though captain?

Nope they don’t sell free hub drifters but sockets are OK to use – IIRC they suggest the old ones can just be bashed out any old way and then the new ones pushed in by hand (never managed that myself)

@OCB – I have a Garmin Edge 800 but also had a 705 before and all worked in the Cleave – look for the ones with the new srif star III chipsets work well 🙂

@Lady – the elevation diag was used by exporting the recorded GPX into the old Garmin Forerunner program and then clicking view. I have uploaded the .zip file here if you want it:

What about the Red metal ones on on-ones site for £299?

    http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/WPFUREME1/fulcrum-red-metal-1-ust-mtb-wheelset

Just bought a pair and look good (fully tubless) – I bought a few spoke spares (which are a bit dear £7 each) just in case but reviews seem very good (also without spoke breakages 😉

Just a matter of time – I thin discs on CX are still in infancy so its a stop gap – if discs take off then I expect full hydro STI’s will ikely be on the cards?

I have had 4 pairs of fox and no hasn’t happened to me as I service mine regularly – My 2011 F120’s are great – Kashima def more robust and the seal are better – I had a very tiny amount to scoring on my Talas forks coz I was a bit lazy – also fitted some enudro seals and that has stopped any further damage.

If you regularly do a seal clean you’ll be fine is my recommendation. (regularly depends on how often you use your forks!)

Might stop you having burping/sidewall issues mid race run now then eh?

Actually that was a burp and a huge slash 😉 Was never going to inflate again that minion – its in the trash as it has 3 holes in it 🙁

That rock garden at Eastridge Enduro stage 4 killed a few tyres/rims I bet!
