The cleaning should not be limited to the outside – clean the insides at well (but not with water ;) )!

Sorry I was talking crap about the prexisting – that’s only for IS front. Confusing myself now!

The MTBR is right. You need (and I assume you have) the 40mm IS and 60mm PM fitting as above which use 2 sets of std Avid blts :)

    Ahhhh – OK that’s a bit easier then :)

    http://forums.mtbr.com/brake-time/avid-juicy-3-5-160mm-203mm-rotor-678182.html

You just need std CPS kit for 160 mm rotors?

The 203 adapters bolt to the existing 160 adapters with a std Bolt?

Take that back – you can still get 200mm Avid sweeps rotors.

Well the PM ones usually have slotted holes you can moved them around?

IIRC you prob have a post mount front and an IS back? That is why they are different – IS front and back are interchangable.

So you need a IS rear 200mm Avid adapter :)

That’s because avid rotors are now 203 – you can get a 203mm rotor kit – only 3mm – should be fine with your 200 rotors you could just shim the adapter?

Or dont use Avid hardware – just use other mounting kit for FR/Rr suck as formula?

You mean you can’t get the bolt out – just put a screw driver in the other end and tap it out after unscrewing it – I would assume its the weight of the bike on the axle stopping you from easily withdrawing the bolt no?

My 2004 was the same design – the axle unscrews – you have to unload the weight off the shock and just pull the axle out – it screws in one side of the linkage only – you just then pull the shock upward/lift the saddle and the shock eyelet slips out.

Good find selaciosa – I use halfrauds DOT 5.1 for DOT systems :) Pretty cheap as well.

Give them a ring first if its not local unless they have a big bike dept? Their stock varies quite a lot?

I hate to suggest it but what about your local bikehut/halfrauds?

The rear triangle flexes and is designed to (trail rumble) but it is a race bike of course so yes it very stiff but the shock then kicks if the trail becomes rocky.

    @ I-Ache – I don’t having ridden the 2011 Pro :)

@Loco – no frame only a bit delayed, its coming though :( Although I’m training for the JOGLE now so I have less distractions for the winter ;)

Is this a civil issue rather than a criminal one or is that just for riding on footpaths?

I expect it is to stop people looking like they have 2012 forks – “although you upgrade your not gonna have top of the line looking forks” ? Maybe I’m wrong – as above they may very well be spare 2011’s?

Although this is obvious the more you pay the better the breaking (i.e. less flex, greater armiture and better pads) you get – to a point :)
