Bucko – I don’t choose it over Smallacombe but strickly Smallacombe descent isn’t a bridle way. Also in the winter Smallacombe approach is v boggy and gets cut up so I try and avoid calving up foot paths. From me I can get in a quick blast withoug having to cyle right up to Haytor (I dont use the car at all for riding locally) :) Hope Mini Bucko is doing OK?

In my experience, steel bikes need repainting after about 15 years. I can live with that.

That’s fine – I like Ti but it’s not for everyone – what ever works for you mate :)

I used to live near Lewes as a kid :)

No I got the Bronsons – very easy to mount tubless tbh – seem pretty good alrounder atm – used to a Kenda Nevegal Tubless Fr and Crossmark rear combon on my 26er HT and the Bronsons seem OK ATMN but not pushed them yet :) I guess the Slant’s are a little lower profile?

I have been into landscape photography for the last year (hence my absence on STW) so thought I’d apply it to some bike porn too ;)

Nice build rewski (Is that the downs in the background? – Yeah I went for the std build so SRAM X9 so no direct mount available that I know of but I may change groupset in time when bits wear out ;) although SRAM may go DM?

She’s a beaut for sure – fell in love after seeing the proto :) hopefully the weather will hold tomoz :)

TBH not ridden it enough so far. The recommend weight:psi is a little high so just set it to 25% sag. Reviews suggest the slider SL2 take a little time to bed the seals (like I used to have to do with Fox forks) so early days yet but I have yet to drop the saddle for a slow droppy descent yet – Day off tomoz so will go for a decent ride :) Prob get myself a dropper soon as well to make the most of the potential :)

A bit more riding today – she flies and carries speed well – let a bit more pressure our of the Slider Forks and tyres down to 35psi and feels much better.
