Hi, just so I’m clear, youre saying it’s when the pointer reaches 5 even if the bolt is still turning?

For my 516 it was 10% off value plus that value in vouchers from wheelbase bikes and they’ve been a great shop too. It was after the demo weekend I attended.

Hi it’s a fulcrum wheel set, dont think they do hubs on their own. Was wondering about xtr, are they as quiet as xt once were?

similar story here, first ride it slipped, but after a tighten it held. it was a carbon one and it did soften the ride a lot. getting the saddle out 6 months later was an ordeal. I’ve gone back to thomson, i like the look of the sumo though

thanks dlr, currently using some ancient 20mm pikes too and not too willing to go for a 32 with 15mm, but willing to be proved wrong on a test ride. i weigh about 17 stone in riding gear so it’s going to be obvious i think, my old qr floats were everso bendy

actually, chakapig, don’t suppose you’ve swapped off any of the lapierre branded parts have you?

    wondering if you weighed them?

    cheers

cheers i thought as much, im not really after the extra travel, just the 20mm axle and stiffiness anyways.

ive managed most the year with advantage big on the rear, its fast and although shallow the breakout seems to be fun instead of terrifying. tbh if i could afford a new winteryer tyre i would swap it out but actually its good enough. (on a squiggly full suss so plenty of contact with the ground)

why would a frame with one set of bearings last any longer in dirty conditions than a multipivot frame?

isn’t the sealing the issue? or is it size of bearings?

Remedy, yep its interesting how many bikes are using a tapered 32mm fox fork these days when they had a 36 before and still could.

is the shimano bolt through and a tapered steerer really that good?

the last 120ish travel bike i tried was a long time ago really so maybe it is time to try the new breed

mines a old style Reign and actually, its amazing. just heavy, and baggy, and brown, and not spangly and new

its amazing the passions that this phone generates. i have a friend who could actually give himself a hernia ranting about the iphone or ipad, it only takes a gentle prod to set him off 😀

cheers batman, how tall are you? im 6 2 and prob would have an XL.
not much we can do about ‘tall’ looking bikes really is there, i had wolfridge years ago and the headtube must have been 7 inches long 🙂

agreed, and you don’t need to be some kind of expert to get a great picture.

off topic a bit – is the One Show deliberately filmed with flat dingy lighting so it looks ok on a badly set up flat screen?
