i think stolen to order sounds relatively logical, ok theyre very attention drawing but even if a rider in europe had one then it would be unlikely to be linked back to here? and for the prices that might change hands then further afield may be a possibility? sorry i hope im wrong 🙁

friend swears by her latex bed, she was put off the memory foam as it seemed to sap all the energy when she tried out sex moves in the shop, the latex one did the opp.

carbon easton low risers with thomson 90mm 5 degree stem, had some jones bars which i loved but couldnt justify the money (now thinking about titec j bars…)

got a 56 (im 5 10) and i love it, first cross bike and its great not raced might try and get a race in before the end of the season but not fit at the mo (plus my local series seems full of raceheads)

ive got 42:16 on at the mo because its decent for commuting but i think 39:18 is the starting point for most folk on ss cross like 32:16 on little wheeled ss mtbs and 32:18 on proper wheeled mtbs

i really rate gore stuff, not hung up on marketing, attention to fit and a sensible range plus the stuff lasts.

i think it depends what youve used and what you will be using, some steel frames are flexier (some too flexy) and some find a balance between stiffness for efficiency and flexy fr comfort/tracking. i found a difference going from my 29er alu to steel its not like switching to full suss but bb area was noticeably stiffer and stays notcieably flexier. like everything else, saying one material is better needs to qualified

theres a place off the royal mile i think its old town tattoo-if you go have a look youll know youve found it, tiny place and a quick look through their books and youll see max's work is awesome. he does it freehand and designs work himself-no flashes etc. not cheap but very very good, only of very few brit artists asked to go to japan expo

ive had a couple rigs and loved em, the ferrous has always felt more 'active' at the front than the rig and have always felt its a degree or so away from being ideal. bike whisperer suggested adjusting a reba to 100mm and sticking that on, i think he may be onto something

have been running 34:18 but bit steep last time went out and riding less now so prob dig out my 20t cog or find a 19 to make it closer to 32:18- which is a pretty ideal ratio tbh

400 a month would be fine for me but it all depends on what you normally spend your fun credits on-swanky bars with ladies of the night or running round a muddy field shouldering a cross bike?

edit:having just done a budget for my loan application, 400 would be tremendous – email in profile if fancying sending me some (gifts of hbars etc also gratefully received)
