its a bit of a side note but presumably your GP is happy enough with your BP and cholesterol? given points win prizes for practices he could bang you on a few drugs. im just intrigued

btw awesome challenge and good luck! i have a far more sedate 2 rides/runs a week and a piece of fruit every day as new year's resolutions. forgetting is the biggest prob i have so far 🙁

to be fair kipper its pretty logical- for example if i wear a seatbelt when driving thats far more important for safety than understanding how the road should work and my impact on others. hmmm

It's like saying a good 853 frame rides the same as a bog-standard steel frame – no chance.

please see other threads for the debate/war on this one….

plus i still reckon who puts the tubes together counts more in that scenario too

I still think how and who build your frame is probably a lot more important than just comparing materials. If indy fab et al knocked me out a steel frame id take that over a mass produced *relatively* cheap ti frame.

My own humble not having owned any ti frame* opinion

*except a ti lemond which i had to sell before i built it up. Still cuts me, cuts me deep 🙁

are major one frames still available?

    EDIT: interweb says yes 🙂

im just fed up of having to walk to a garage to use a compressor whenever I need to get more gunk in them especially as where we've moved to the nearest compressor is rubbish. tempted to save up for a stan rim, £60 though!

singlecross so decent clearance tbh 35 is prob big enough, just hadnt seen much beyond that width and wondered what people had used. As Sam says they seem to become more hybrid at that point

so what do you call off road tyres wider than 32 but not 29er wide?
there seem to be plenty out there from a variety of maunfacturers such as the locust?

EDIT: hello squire! Im ok but being crushed under the weight of work, yet another exam tomorrow but then holidays-planning to sleep for a week.

    how goes the new job?
