    out of bath!

I'm also on third degree 😀 The other thing I meant to say was that sometimes courses have textbooks that the tutors either wrote or draw upon which are very useful come exam time, there are a couple of examples on our course but I could try and find out about imperial if you like

Medisave for stethoscopes, classic II (dont want to be the one riding a carbon full susser on day 1) engraved for free and loads of colours (or give them some pennies towards it so they can choose? plus normally get a discount as a fresher)

books is pretty personal choice, maybe a whopping great amazon voucher? I use grays for anatomy but some mates prefer tortora.

The clinical med handbook (you get the tiny one when join defence union so get the a5 sized one) and kumar and clark are staples for most folk however.

You could make a fun box of various stuff as well as vouchers if worried about it being a bit dull. Is it their first degree? if so a pile of stuff like mobile phone top up card, condoms, compass, emergency chocolate, plastic toy stethoscope and a photo of you would be funny/nice touches

any other questions just email me

    ah of course they were!

what was the rim that the cindercrosses sat on?

to be fair i think ill stick new cables and outers on the singlecross until i can afford a cross check or kite (ie 3 years)

As far as I see it a ss should only be a cheap throw together for hacking round on

    *shakes head*

    you're prob right tazzy 🙁

    that's the same one 😉

yeah had a look at the geo and compared it to my singlecross, looks similar enough to convince me. Now I just need to think about how to convert it to ss and if I have the funds. Could always stick with what I've got…

cheers guys, I might have a look at stripping it down today if i have time, def due some TLC and i think when i taped up the hoods way back when i had some sort of issue with the cable outer that i should probably revisit.

perhaps its more a question of scale, selling maps locally is different from telling an internet forum of however many thousand?

please don't do that Geoff, the bloody forestry are looking for any excuse to flatten those trails. and sticking that pic up with the name of the club that looks after the trails is giving them reason.

    seems pretty clear though?

not sure if you can get just wheels on c2w but if you could get lbs to do a build and skew the budget so it was a cheap frame but lovely wheels then that might work?

i agree with poddy, difficult to get an original plot for a police procedural so the way its done ends up being more important and aside from the ending (i dont mind a bit of ambiguity but there was so so much left unresolved such as colleagues outside drug squad and their fates) i thought it was played out well. rather than a main couple and cardboard cut outs for the rest there was a range of talent. liked it.

it has to be cheap im afraid plus its a rented property and the next place might be a flat. I know what you mean though, I spent a summer working with a gardner cutting lawns every day, electric mowers make me shudder.

I am seriously thinking of going with jools recommendation-i think a good manual one will probably be better than a cheap electric one

    fontmoss
    Free Member

that'd be ace but no car im afraid-which is the prob when looking on fleabay, they're all pick up in person

    thanks again though

cheers jools, looks decent and i think i poss need to spend 60/70 if going for a decent electric one so its def on the list-just hurts a bit spending 40 notes on non motorised

ta jeffi, i did think one handed lawn mowing seemed optimistic
