Thanks guys that’s useful info. Still need to have a look and walk round but sadly only seems to be wimbledon and earlsfield that fit our criteria for travel ti work and close ish to town. Gf works from home so somewhere nice to wander about or go to cafe would be good.
Out of interest if could choose either (say rent same in both places) where would you go and why? Ta
Yeah parked on a street. Jacked it up, got the back wheel moving and heard the ping of the handbrake. All moving now although brakes feel bit rough. Just need to get it through the MOT now…
I’m giving it pretty decent revs and not much action. Car in front is a foot or 2 ahead and car behind a few feet away- i’m not going to floor it and risk hitting them!
i thought it might be handbrake, yanked it hard a good few times but brake pedal didnt have much travel either and I know the calipers were highlighted at the last MOT.
Let us know what you decide, moving house soon and started wondering about going with M and S again. That said I’m sure the cover is now different if a new policy holder versus continuing.
Maybe I could try and get a couple bikes but think I might be pushing my luck with my better half-I was planning on thee one bike being in a bag under the bed!
Plus if only one bike maybe I could justify getting a new disc cx. Maybe an indy fab sscx disc! Well a boy can dream
Use a hans dampf trailstar up front and maxxis ignitor at the back (29ers), works ok for me but prob feel different from set up you have now. I quite like it
Anyone? Looking at doing a taster session when get back from holiday end of May. I think that’ll help us decide where to live so fingers crossed goes ok.
Also if I got a Honda 125 varadero second hand would it be easy enough to sell on and buy something sexier should I wish?…
I guess a very important point I kind of missed out at the beginning – over a 20 mile journey from say Wimbledon to Chertsey would it be much quicker than a car? In traffic I mean
It;s not so much the cost as the time that would be the decisive factor, if I could convert an hour train journey into a 40/50 min door to door commute then it would be worth it.
Reason for living further in is because gf works from home and after 4 years of Derby suburbia wanted a bit more life. I realise places I’m pitching aren’t proper london in some eyes but half an hour ish to centre of London is a pretty good compromise.
