Yeah I had considered doing something like that but my gf works from home and as it’s a rental I’m averse to knocking stuff into walls or doorframes. Our last letting agent is charging us £180 to remove a mark from a tyre!

Cheers guys. Not chertsey because not interested in living there and also only there for a year. I appreciate the issue regarding commuting but after 4 years of derby we want a bit of life. I know it’ll prob be noisy smelly and dirty but it’s only for a couple years then off to scotland so a bit of city living is what we’re after.

I make it 18 miles by bike routes and almost 24 by car according to google maps? Either way I know myself well enough to know I won’t last long doing that twice a day and learning a new job with shift work. Sad, weak, disappointing I know but not much point lying to myself.
