Just in from a 40Ker, earlier the mud was a little frozen causing “interesting handling” but that aside so much drier than a week ago. no resin not to get out, Verderers will be fine.

There’s so much more to do in the FoD and the single track is dying out nicely

I’ve got one, great sack, but if I’m honest the bladder was the weak link as I’ve had a couple and they have leaked around the bite nozzle, I use a camelback one with mine.love the tool roll too and it’s plenty big enough.

Clink, i’m loving it- just worried i’m not going to ride any other bikes now ! first thing I notice is how precise the handling is, it goes exactly where you want it to. Second thing I notice is the bike just wants to be air bourne, hit any root and it takes off. Great ride.

Single speed and spd’s make sense whichever brand you get. The hardest thing will be the first few rides until you get used to them, then you won’t know how you lived without them. I use shimano and crank bros, shimano are fit and forget, crank bros look much nicer but will require regreasing every six months as reccomended, both feel slightly different in use, but as you’ve never used them before you won’t notice the different feel between them.

The Freeminers trail (red) was 4.5km long, though the DTV have been busy extending it. Well worth a visit, you can add the red and blue together which is great fun, or failing that try the 42 square miles of woodland and all the natural Singletrack it has to offer.

Just to add to this, a message from peddleabikeaway:

    Trails closed Saturday 9th Feb.
Just a reminder to everyone that all trails in Sallowvallets (plus the Family Trail) are officially closed on Saturday for the Wyedean car rally

Been out this morning, snow has pretty much gone, puddles were frozen , Mud not sticky. Ice in the car park was the biggest hazard

A cork is best as its breathable, which will prevent sweating.

If you go on to Nomad direct, the 12 V is still available (just out of stock).I have an 18V one which cleans my bikes very well, I use it to clean my van also.
