Best way would to be to buy a White Industries Eno eccentric rear hub, does away with the need for chain tensioners and gives the cleanest lines. Have converted a couple of bikes this way and works very well.

Had a diamond, got a SF- use it for everything , even used on 4X circuit and DH, maybe not as quick or as comfortable in these situations as a full susser, but very capable. Handling is great and with a 29 up front feels quick. can’t comment on using gears though on a jones though..

Yes it’s still open, the new extension does not currently effect the existing trail, staged openings are planned , have fun.

I’ve ridden one and infact ordered one. I agree the colour of the RS isn’t as good as it could have been, but was impressed with the ride enough to buy comparing it to my 2012 Five which Is. Great bike in its self.

    Ride one

I borrowed one and was surprised how much better it was compared to my 2012 five, so much so I’ve ordered one.

It’s 3lbs lighter, climbs better and still felt nimble. I tested a few bike and the RS was my favourite

I have ridden the 650b and compared to my five I found :

When you first get on feels very much like a normal five.
Climbs better, it is 3lbs lighter then my 2012 model.
Rolling speed is quicker ( slightly)
As with the five, when this go downhill or technical it comes alive.
    Loved the 1×11 setup
    Hated the avids
Stealth dropper is a nice touch

There’s so much more to do other than the Verderers too, the DTV are currently extending the Freeminers trail plus the miles and miles of natural single track.

Are you sure it’s the fork? I’ve had occasional judder on my truss and my jones uncrown – common parts: brakes and wheels, I would put money on the brakes over the fork

I love my five, but love my single speed more, it’s the only reason I’m selling mine, simply not using it enough in the Mountains.

in all my years of riding, I have only seen one rear mech damaged

Mayhem last year I was surprised just how many mechs had been ripped off , I saw maybe 15, which is the most I had ever seen – mental.

Went out yesterday and was surprised just how slippery it was, after the dry spell a bit of rain and everything’s greasy. Fair few puddles already, so FoDs in summer conditions

Tazzy, I’ve had a couple of pairs of Luv Handles, great bars and a nice quality feel about them. Different angles to H bars but same principle.

Also the Luv Handles are on a 3 month waiting list :(
