A disappointing announcement from Sonos for sure.

Even loyal buyers will think twice about buying future Sonos products if they go through with this.

A lot of calls to boycott Sonos on twitter so I’m hoping they will change their plans and support all products in their range. How hard can it be to do different updates for older speakers?

I thought deliberately bricking products was something only Apple did.

I’ll wait and see how Sonos handles this before I decide what to do.

    I have a Samsung galaxy watch 46mm.
Excellent bit of kit, syncs with all apps no problem.
There’s thousands of watch faces to choose from on the facer app.

Battery last around 3 days but I could squeeze more from it I think.

Bought it from a seller on eBay who had quite a few for sale for £145 just before Christmas.

If I knew how to add images I’d post up a few pictures.

Polaris waterproof shorts. £30 at the moment.
Used through 2 winters and apart from reproofing from time to time no issues.

    Watched The Nightingale last night.

Not easy to watch in places but thought it was excellent.

Same director as Babadook I think.

Is the oneup worth an extra £75 over the brand x 🤔.

Going to call in at leisure lakes tomorrow in bury as I’m looking for a new helmet as well so I can have a look at the oneup droppers there.

    Hmmm some good info here.

Brand x and the oneup seem to be recommended most.

Also she recently said the tv films is all repeats (freeview) so got her a 7 day pass on nowtv.

She was enjoying Chernobyl tv series (who didn’t?) before the pass ran out so thinking she might benefit from either a new user offer for sky tv or monthly subscription to now tv.

    What else is there?

Thanks Cougar, will have a look at that. 👍

I’m still in shock with the cost of her bills. Bt were supposed to call me today between 12pm and 2pm after I complained and asked for some sort of refund as she’s been charged this amount for over 15 months.

Haven’t heard anything from them yet.

I pay £30 per month for bt ‘super fast broadband’ and phone calls with bt sport thrown in for free.

I used to play repton on the electron. Loved it.
Nowadays I mainly stick to battlefield as I like the teamwork you get when in a skilled squad.

Try any of the xcom games. Turn based strategy games which can get tricky later in the game.

Also have a look on Steam under the strategy section. There should be something to try there.

Cost is a factor so i think i can rule out the Valve index which is more than double the cost of it competitors.

Looking like either oculus rift s or the oculus quest (Just for cable free)

I might contact scan and see if I can try one before buying.

As others have said, use cheap blades for laminate and save the good blades for jobs where the finish of the cut is important.

I used to cut a lot of 5mm thick cast acrylic on my festool and found the best blade to be a trend CSB/AP25480 Craft saw blade. Has 80 teeth.

    The finished cut was incredible.

    I have a dell outlet 15″ inspiron.
No problems after nearly three years. Got a backlit keyboard as well which is handy.

Check dell outlet UK on Twitter as they are always putting discount codes on there anything between 10% to 20% off the prices on dell outlet website.

May not have everything on your wishlist though

If you’re going refurbished route, take a look at europc for dell stuff.
Have had a few things from them and they’ve been excellent.

Thanks for all the replies so far 👍.

Sadly I’ve no option to buy the Volvo at the end of the lease.

Because I got such a good deal on the Volvo I’m struggling to get my head around paying a massive deposit (2.5k to 5k) compared to what I paid originally.

Our local Audi dealer wanted our old A3 as deposit on a Q3 then £305 a month.
I estimate our A3 is worth 5k in the current second hand market.

Wife likes the Mercedes A class or GLA. But after reading some stories on here about the A class I’m having second thoughts.

    +1 for Polaris waterproof shorts.

Sad news for the workers and surrounding area.

The legislation to phase out / reduce diesel engines and a downturn in the global market is mainly the cause I suspect.

BBC says there will be offers of redeployment but no indication of what that means.

+1 for Farscape. One of the best sci-fi series I’ve seen.

I might give Lexx another viewing.

Watched first two episodes of Banshee last night. Another good ott action series

Alexander Arnold and Robertson had very good games tonight.
Both got forward at every opportunity.

For once I didn’t mind who won tonight. I expect that would have been the easiest game the Liverpool defence has had all season.

    Congrats Liverpool.

Play 1 is just a wireless speaker, no Alexa. This model is a few years old now.
Play One is the first gen with Alexa and newer internals.

I believe the refurbished units are returns using sonos 100 day return policy.

Best to check before buying though.

If you’re not interested in the Alexa features, then sonos have the original Play 1 certified refurbished for £119.
Or the Play One (gen 1) for £159
    On Sonos website.

    Yes can recommend it.
First used it around 10 years ago when we moved into a new house. We created a circular lawn and when we moved house this year it was still looking great.
It keeps the edges straight and even though you still have to cut the edges its easy to do.
Bit of a pain to fit especially if the ground is dry and putting the pegs in is a pain but is definitely worth it.
We have just ordered some more for our new lawn.

It’s a bit dramatic to say you feel sick ever since you found out about your fathers vote.
It was a choice and he made one, whether it was a protest vote or not.
My sister made a vote that was different to mine but that’s her choice and I certainly won’t lose sleep over it.
I really worry for the future when people are marginalised and castigated for having different views to the person next to them.

First thing is to check the boundary drawings as others have said and take it from there.
If I’m looking at the right property then where you have planted the plants seems to be on your land.
Good luck hope you get it sorted as it looks better now than just a flagged path will be

I’ll see your Babymetal and raise you Lovebites

I mentioned these a while ago and after seeing them at Bloodstock.

They’ve obviously been influenced by maiden and similar bands

Weber kettle BBQ here as well.
I’ve tried the snake method for laying out charcoal with great success for low and slow cooking brisket.

Just search snake method BBQ and there’s loads of videos showing you how.

I’ve just bought a Bluetooth hands free kit for the car that slides over the visor.
Works well and connects to the phone once it detects movement in the car.

Best £12.98 I’ve spent all year.

    Interesting article z1ppy.
Seems it’s a lot more complicated than just motor power.

If I got an ebike it would be used to supplement my riding I already do on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

My thought is to use it at weekends to explore and find more trails along with getting more runs in on my favourite descents around Rivington.

Also a couple of friends have ebikes and they are getting around 23 miles run time with the 1.3 motor which to me doesn’t seem enough.
