    Lol @ bruneep
Was wondering where the advert stated ready to fit and go. Glad you stealth edited.
    The listing was as below

Shimano deore m615 Disc Brake Front And Rear. Condition is Used.
The brakes have pads fitted with plenty of life in them and also comes with 2 brand new pairs of spare brake pads.

    Hose lengths 950mm and 1320mm

There is also an olive to reconnect the rear brake hose as I had to cut the hose to remove the brake.
I can either re-attach the hose or leave it for the buyer to attach if the hose needs to be passed through the bike frame.

Can either pickup in Chorley area or delivered

    Brakes were sold 2nd march.
Pair of deore disc brakes off my orange five.
Both pairs had almost new pads fitted along with a brand new set of pads.
Advertised that I had to cut the hose due to frame fitting and can either re-attach the hose or provide an olive so the buyer can fit it.

The buyer didn’t tell me what he wanted so I sent him a message saying I will leave the hose loose and supply an olive as I had to pack it for delivery.

I’ve just received a message nearly 60 days after being sold, he said the lh piston is stuck and lever goes all the way to the bars.

He’s asking how we can solve this.

Everything was sold for £31 including postage.

Now, the brakes worked fine with no issues when I took them off the bike.

I’ve asked him if he has fitted the olive as was advertised, and he should bleed the brakes as well.

    23 replies indeed…….

Has anyone got their hands on one of these?

Still hovering over the buy button and want opinions especially from android users who have switched.

    I bought these last month.
They are non boost but still a great price for a cheapish upgrade.

How much gb does iOS take off the 64gb version.

On my old 16gb iPhone it took half the space so in reality it ended up 8b.

Some good advice here. My S7 back button hasn’t worked for a few months but I’m still using it ok. Apart from that it’s been great.

I used to upgrade to the newest shiny phone every 18-24 months but this time I kept the S7 and went sim only and I used to have an iPhone 5 and 6 so not worried about going back to Apple

Also I can get an s10+ cheaper than the s10e. But not sure I’d like a phone that big.

The screens on the s10’s look better than the iPhone se.

Ah didn’t realise the s10e was waterproof. Thought it was a stripped down version of the S10

I’ve had the Bell Super for the last 5 years which has been great and very comfy on the bonce.

Just bought a new Bell Super DH MIPS with the removable chin guard and this feels as good as my old helmet.
Haven’t tried the GoPro mount that came with it though.

Using it just for the bike and seems good quality.

I had an Amazon echo show 8 that I’ve set up for my mother.
Works like apple facetime (Not as good quality) but is great as I’ve told other family members to call her on the device.
Think the echo 8 is £60 at the moment.
Worth the money just for video calling and keeping a check on her.

Also if you all have mobiles, then install google duo. It’s a video calling app which works on android as well as ios so you’re not tied to either operating system.

For clarity, I have had to travel 10 miles each way to my mother’s house to adjust the dish so she could watch tv again.

Then around 9.20pm the neighbour leaned out of his window to smack the dish with a 4×2 so the shadow of the dish isn’t on his property. This happened 3 times.

The fourth time he moved it when my mother nipped out to the local shop for 30 minutes at 11am. She came back and told me it had moved again.

I put a security camera up to see what was happening to the dish.

The neighbour eventually posted a note through the door, which I replied with a letter through his door.

I’m only annoyed that he was playing a game of **** the dish out of alignment so my mother couldn’t watch tv.

My mother has lived in the property for 40 years, the neighbour for 18 months.

I’ll save what he has done with his fence for another thread, but the neighbour is the one who has acted like a child.

If he had knocked on the door and asked if we would move the dish I would have arranged it.

Do you have a dog by any chance? I have spare sausages

I once asked stw for advice.

Was told to bum dogs with sausages……or bum sausages with dogs.

Just been reading the responses and I’ve nearly ruined my keyboard laughing at some of them so thanks for cheering me up.

I’m waiting for sky to move the dish as they are the ones who put it there. After shoving a letter through his door asking him not to move the dish as I’ve arranged sky to relocate it, he hasn’t touched this dish for a couple of days now, so at least my mother can watch some tv.

Anyway I’ve just found out the neighbour has a cat!

So would you still use sausages for a cat?

    flyingpotatoes

would cost too much to buy a hot air balloon along with learning to use it.

I’d rather pop his crappy inflatable hot tub he has in his garden.

So, what type of sausages should I be using just in case he gets a dog?

My mother’s house is on the right
The dish is on a swing arm and when the neighbour moves it so it’s not on his property, the signal stops.

All a bit petty really as all he had to do was ask

Hopefully here is an image showing the dish.

Don’t think I want to bum his sausage.

There’s a lot of sausage japes being suggested. Have you all been tested for the virus?

Some great comments here. Don’t think he has a dog though.

After three weeks of moving the dish, he has finally posted a note through the door asking my mother to get sky to move the dish.

I’ve replied and told him that I’ve arranged to get it moved on 3rd april as that’s the earliest they can come so I would appreciate it if he could put up with it until then.
Also told him that he should have just knocked on the door with his concerns instead of keep moving the dish. I would have sorted it earlier if I’d known there was a problem.

    Just an update.
I bought the Bomaker sifi ear buds as recommended above.

They are great for office use and last all day before charging.

Good sound as well. Possibly could do with more bass when listening to music but for podcasts they are perfect.

Been in a similar situation years ago.

Nothing worse than sitting next to someone knowing that they are paid more for doing the same job.

There’s no harm in asking about a pay rise, just be ready to justify it with evidence of why you should be paid more.

Unless you absolutely love your job, start looking for another role and apply for a few. Hopefully you’ll get a few interviews.

Confirms my suspicions about the helmet being too hot.
I’ll mainly use it on trails that don’t warrant the chinbar but thought it might be useful once in a while.

In this weather with the heater on we get around 90 miles.
Hopefully the new breed of ev’s will have a better range.
    The car is brilliant though.

6 Spotify premium accounts for £15 per month.
Ideal if you can get family/friends to share the cost.

I used to use brasso duraglit and wipe with the lint cloth.
Wipe in circular motion round the disc.
    Always worked with small scratches.
    Good luck

I have a gaming laptop and use Autodesk Inventor for cad. Also gone from using showcase which is a rendering and animation package to using 3dsmax.
No issues at all with any of the software.
Laptops a few years old now and has a 1060 graphics card.

Autodesk advice is to use workstation graphics cards, but I’ve never had a problem.

The laptop is from Scan and is one of their own 3xs laptops.

I went from a hero 4 silver to hero 7 black.
The stabilisation is ace. Although not great in low light I’ve found, but latest firmware update has helped with that issue.

If I want to take photos I just video stuff and take a snapshot in the editing software later. Or burst mode for action shots.

I’ve used time lapse mode to record a family party last summer and some of the images were brilliant natural photos that you just wouldn’t normally get.

Good to see some cheaper end earbuds are worth looking at.

When I listen to podcasts at work, I usually just use the left ear, so I don’t totally isolate myself from the rest of the office.

Which set of earbuds will work with just the left earbud?

    Thanks for the info.

Think I’ll play around with Google drive and see how easy it is first.

The people using it aren’t brill at geek stuff so after the info received this morning a nas drive is not an option.

Looking like a cloud based option ftw.

You know what my new post is going to be don’t you?

    flyingpotatoes

The new drive is for a small business with one shop on the high street.

There will be three people needing to access it and it will back up letters to customers and invoices. Not a massive amount of data at all.

I presume the nas will be situated in the home.

Currently they save documents to a pen drive but this doesn’t give them the ability to sync documents which is what they want.

As for administration, I’m guessing it will land at my door but I’m not sure if it’s worth the hassle for me to do it after reading comments above 🤔

Amazing what a drop in share price can do eh?

Sonos should have sent that message out from the start instead of scaring loyal customers who have spent thousands on Sonos products into thinking their speakers will not work after updates.
