theres lots of trails in the route that arnt in the normal rides n routes great way to get to know the forest properly.

thanks for the british cycling link. keep your ideas coming please. i have had this idea for a while i want to make it more climbing than any other in less miles too. i have the terrain sorted but keeping it close to my chest incase someone steps in. i also have an on road offroad 24hr ride in my plans just to keep you interested

i dont have it strava yet, and also i could probably get it into an 80 mile ride !! or should i go for more altitude which i could . whats the most climbing done in 100 miles then that people know of in this country ?

62 mph on a tandem with canti brakes about 15 years back decending killhope on a short cut on c2c . two tandems clocked 60mph plus. with females on the rear. this was after over shootin a junction after hartside headin for garrigill the T JUNCTION after the right turn off hartside believe me frightening

hi i had it done when i was about 20, cant remember exactly but a year either way, i turn 40 this year !! before i had it done i couldnt see my alarm clock while in bed.something like – 5 in one eye and -4.5 in the other. this was back in the real early days. had to travel to london to get it done. so the result is i still have 20 20 vision now!! hurt back then, but worth it. my wife had it done about eight years ago and shes sorted too.the best money i ever spent!!! optimax was the company i used so the only one i would recommend

i once took a group of lads out, one with no helmet, he was the one that fell off and ended up with 10 staples in his head and ruined my race shirt stemming the flow of blood till the ambulance arrived. moral of the story is he bought one after the crash!! your choice but remember its your mates who have to deal with the blood pouring from your head.!!!!!!!

hi there all, thanks for the advice, problem now appears to be solved, works on the stand at least, not had chance to test ride yet!! it appears the problem was the xtr front mech, it seem that the outer plate was bent out over uniformally down the length of it and tha was enough to cause the rubbing on the new chainset, i checked it against another mech and found it was out by approx 2-3 mm . happy days and thanks for the advice. most post seemed to be pointing to a front mech problem which indeed it was !!!!

hi i have tried altering the angle of the mech both ways but have put back so it basically parallel to the chain rings and about 2mm clearance height wise on the big ring. all rings seem same distance apart!!!
