My XO had an RP23 fitted and was great until I crack teh air can twice in a month. A coil will mean it can take a much bigger hit but it will probably pedal worse.
Knackered in what way? If its fixable you would be better off getting it PUSH tuned which includes a service. It will be lighter, as plush and more tunable.
No seriously. Do one at a time, nuke them for 1 minute, give them a stretch and put them on straight away. I bet you will be back on here in a minute thanking me for saving your time messing around with washing up liquid.
Hayes Stroker's are absolute crap. Got to be the worst brakes I have owned for a long time, and they were the top end carbon ones. Powerless, a pain in the ass to set up, and always needed re-adjusting every time I took the damn wheels out.
Shimano AM50 are excellent if you can still get them, if not the newer AM51. They look like boots but they're not, they're high cut shoes. I've had mine ages and they are as good as new. Really comfy, keep your feet nice and cool and, loads of protection.
The government is worried that mens penis's are getting smaller. To find out how great the problem is they have asked all men with penis's smaller than 3 inches to put a white flag with a red cross on their car :D
Whatever you do, ride them before parting with your cash. I test rode a Zesty 314 at Glentress last week and didn't like it at all. My 2010 EX9 was better up and down, which surprised me somewhat.
