    Yeah NW.

Basically you can chose to always run PP in the off position (0, 1, or 2) and the on position is PP3 for climbing.

Nice suspension Flow, its a pity you couldn’t afford a decent bike to attach it to.

I know mate, times are hard.

What bike do you have partyboy?

Stress can cause serious health problems and shouldn’t be taken lightly (seriously!) Make some time for yourself, do something enjoyable at least once a week, ride your bike, walk the dog etc.

Also don’t take things to seriously, stress is only stressful if you perceive it that way.

Well NW, as you know I had two Fives here, one with a kashima RP23 and one without. The one without was only just serviced, and uses the same seals as the new ones (I think). The kashima RP23 is definitely a lot plusher, practically zero stiction, and thats not just me imagining it.

They also had to increase the compression tune of the shocks (so Mojo say) due to the decreased stiction.

I just stroked mine. They purred at me and whispered, “ride me”.

I don’t have a spicy but i stuck a ccdb on my 5 and it transformed the bike, it’s better up ( despite the considerable weight over an rp23 ) and massively better in the rough stuff on the way down. So good in fact I got rid of my other bikes, this thing does everything brilliantly be it mincing round trail centers or mincing dh uplift days or mincing all day alps rides

That can’t be right RJ, you must be making it up

You’d think Fox could at least get both of the stanchions on a fork roughly the same colour.

I think you will find thats the light

    flow
    Free Member

    Kind of.

If you are light you will run less PSI, therefore you will need to run less rebound.

    I think thats right anyhow.

    flow
    Free Member

I don’t know so any advice on where it went wrong would be appreciated.

The only thing that could have gone wrong, is you brewed it for longer than 3 min.

Poverty must be a difficult thing. Please excuse my plush, slippery, gold stanchions, I didn’t mean for them to offend you.

GW – to be fair you don’t know much about anything, zip it.

Dean – I have heard of people running CCDB on Fives (essentially an XC bike) and it turning them into a DH monster.

The fact that it isolates high and low speed compression, and high and low speed rebound makes infinitely adjustable, and just because a frame is designed around an air shock, doesn’t mean it wouldn’t work well or better with a CCDB.

I think everyone has noticed the difference (except the paupers of course)

    Silky smooth and stiction free.

Talas suck, no wonder you didn’t.

I’d say it’s very good marketing myself.

So you’re backing up the fact its just marketing with no facts.

    Clever, not.

    Some facts from Miyaki Co

The Japs coming up with a “clever coating”, what a stupid thought

I propose that everyone who supports the US healthcare model moves there, and then we won’t have to worry about your opinions as you’ll enjoy the system you like and we’ll keep our NHS. Sound fair?

Like anyone has said they support it

deanfbm why would you not recommend it for riding DH?

Because he doesn’t have the slightest clue what he is on about.

My guess is that mere mortals wouldn’t fully understand exactly what they were doing and therefore not use the shock to its full potential.

    Compression and rebound 8O

    How would we cope?

great bit of marketing stuff that Kashima

Except its not just marketing. If you bothered to research it before waffling on you could actually talk facts instead of crap.

They don’t last as long as others, and have daft service intervals, and cost more than the competitors. I’d not buy them aftermarket.

I have seen just as many RS with stanchion wear. Most people on here don’t look after their bikes, as that thread shows. Even washing them is too much for some people.

I have always had Fox forks and shocks, and never had any problems.

BUPA, Axa PPP etc usually paid by employers, and therefore only cover survivable / recoverable conditions.

    They offer cancer treatment

The best way to find out what would be offered would be to look at the American system I guess.

    Aw, bless.

That would suggest that we would get:
    Lower life expectancy.
    Higher infant mortality.
    Fewer Doctors per person.
Double the per capita expenditure on Health.
Double the Healthcare cost as a percentage of GDP.

The NHS isn’t the greatest Healthcare system in the world, but it’s not bad.

Crikey, stop being such a child, I didn’t post on here to argue, strange as that may seem.
