ive just been delivered a pair of salice 006. not used in anger yet, but they seem like theyll be great on the bike. Ill do a little video review in a few weeks when ive used them a bit.

apparently Alessandro Petacchi used to wear them (i think)

yup. i think about what i did wrong (usually keeping my weight too far back in the corners) and how i can sort it out for next time. it worked for me for remembering to brake before the corners :-)

as long as you know what youre doing wrong, its pretty easy to sort it out.

ive just built a couple of wheels with the multi size park tool. when the spokes get tight it gets a bit harder on the fingers, but apart from that it was pretty good.

Going to get the new pro evo 2. Am I right in saying the extra 7mm is for the recess either side and the end caps should allow an almost touching perfect mating.

what is this, i dont even…what?

ive ridden into a sex den hidden in the forest, complete with transvestite and a very strong smell of disinfectant. i shit you not. we both looked at each other like “what the hell are you doing here” before i appologised and got the hell out of there.

it was somewhere in the million wood near kinver.

hmm, could you have stripped the threads? the red bolt is only hollow aluminium and as i found out is pretty weak.

does the bolt spin relatively freely or does it feel like its still clamping the lower leg and the damping rod (making it hard to turn)?

    light stuff is more expensive!

heavy bikes burn more cals/get you fitter and give your friend one less excuse as to why you beat them up the last hill :-)

current ride is a 32lb blue pig and its going to be putting on a little more weight soon. rides great.

my 9 year old p7 is starting to rust worryingly about the chainstays and chainstay bridge, to the point it will need fixing or replacing soon. it will put me off buying another steel bike.

its lasted 9 years (!) and thats putting you off another steel frame?! ok…

best thing i did for my GD was plug some of the holes in the rubber boot that let air (and also mud) in/out. fill the ones that face backwards as theyre the ones that let all of the rear wheel spray in.
