this happend to me yesteday. owner wouldnt even hold onto it while i rode off :? . she walked off saying i shouldve just kept on going, silly cow  leaving me to fend off this collie that was going nuts. i kept my bike between me and it and walked in the opposite direction to the owner. my thought was that the dog would choose to go home rather than eat me.

i was thinking what i wouldve done if it lunged at me. the best i could think off was just trying to get control of the head and choking it / punch the crap out of it.

The uni,s are cutting back on students, by increasing fees

simple economics, the universities that get way more applications than they have room for are obviously going to charge more. my uni is raising fees by 80 quid

if by drivetrain you mean all the cogs/cranks are shimano, then of course you can use SRAM gears on them…

all it means is you need both sram (or shimano) mechs and shifters for them to work properly (on the rear, front gears it doesnt matter).

    my vote is for sram.

pff aygo will be fine! mum has one and we drove four of us plus luggage down from birmingham to portsmouth and got the ferry over to guernsey and back. its a bit noisey and the gearbox is a bit vague, but you get a spanking new car for 6k! speedy enough for the motorway yet uber fuel effiencient. ignore the snobs and buy one.

hohoho what a laugh that race was, thanks for posting that vid again :D

i raced it, actually quite steep but definitely not unrideable. ass over the back end and dont lock up the front, or in BUCS terms ‘off the brakes!’

i think most people fell off because theyd never ridden anything that steep before. i noticed a few were coming in way too fast, not realising how little speed they could loose once on the slope hence over the bars. it was also quite lumpy and loose and the the corner at the bottom was off camber a bit.

i thought it was an absolutely amazing course. really hope they dont tone it down for next year.

120mm will ‘probably’ be fine, but run it at 140 and you get a serious risk of stressing the frame beyond what it was designed for. ive seen my friend crack his hardtail xc type trek by running too big forks.

do ya feel lucky, punk?

its every persons right to have a shotgun in the uk. the police have to give a reason for them not to grant you a shotgun certificate.

to get a firearms certificate you need to prove to them that you need a rifle, have adequate land, permission to shoot on said land etc.
