im running a rubber queen 2.4 on a superstar dh rim, 25mm internal, on the back of my hardtail, tis sweet :-)

I used to have a 719 on the back, but i got a few pinch punctures even at >30 psi. maybe have a look at the mavic 521?

the padding is about 10/12mm thick you would need to be using some pretty long pins to reach your skin

i was thinking more about the pins punching holes in the padding…?

how would they cope against pedal pins?

It might be mostly harmless, but in grown ups I don’t think it is a good thing

so, how many people on here have a collection of bikes…?

Tj, ive not had much of a problem with your views on other articles, hell, ive even come close to agreeing with you :-) but this close minded and childlike ‘im right and im not listening to anyone else’ attitude is frankly, stupid.

just because you cant see the point in them doesnt means no-one else can. having guns is fun for those who are sensible with them. guns will always be used by criminals to kill people no matter how restrictive you make the laws for legitimate owners.

    laws only effect the lawful…

I don’t like black forks and this is why I am asking for advice as this is the only bike that I like ATM

    …lol

maybe something to do with the short road derailluer having a different mech pull ratio thing compared to mtb ders, and the fact that the cables arent going to get so gummed up with mud…?

    i’d like to see a few short-travel (100mm) am/trail bikes

you could check out those full sus ragleys that are supposed to be coming out (or are out already, i cant rememeber) they can take a big fork but have relatively little travel at the rear.

im going to call the rain on the south coast ‘english rain’. not particularly heavy, but heavy enough to keep you indoors, and it has the ability to keep raining for hours on end :(

or for that matter ride XC on a super long travel full suspension bike in the first place.

not everyone can afford (or wants) more than one bike…

whats wrong with having a bike that’s jack of all trades?

So… what if was £29 – 30% with “free” delivery?

good point. its more the fact that i was just going to be spending money on something i didnt need. the delivery charge just made me realise i didnt need it.

    £5 delivery…hmm

    not sure if rhetorical question…

the black trail is sweet, but instead of going down the fire road to do the final black section, turn onto the last bit of the blue at the bench on the right. proceed down the final blue decent at full speed. youre welcome

such as the two helmets & a nice set of pedals (all will be purchased in this same store)

if youre going to buy helmets/pedals with the spare £900 see if they can add those in with the bike, rather than just asking for the money off then buying the bits afterwards.

    also, i agree with zulu.

They were a pain to put on, not just a bit of a pain, but lots of faffing around getting my toes into the individual slots.

yup i was there for about five minutes trying to fit my toes into the sockets

i think im going to go for the KSOs. although i tried on the lace up five fingers in the shop, i think the fit with the KSOs will be the same, and i liked it. plus its got the little strap that goes round the heal so hopefully it will stay in place.

ill update when i get them, cheers guys :D

what was wrong with the five fingers?

on the point about the foot spreading, that was a reason i liked the vibrams, it felt as if my toes werent being restricted from spreading whereas the merrells seemed to keep them a little more confined.

ah, emsz, yes i am. i had a go at running actual barefoot on the road, but after about 30 metres the soles of my feet were too painful to walk on. i figured these kind of shoes would let me go a bit further.

Tescos were selling beans for about 4p a tin

    8O

tesco value beens are now around 26p i think, but as ive found, it varies from place to place. i usually splash out and get morrisons value beens as they taste a bit nicer, but are relatively expensive at 31p (they were 25p about a month ago :x). i dont buy the bread so cant get the price on that but value bran flakes are 77p, bagels are 90p odd, ketchup is 14p etc.

i keep meaning to start a blog reviewing all the tesco value stuff, its surprisingly not that bad. its funny how the packaging successfully puts people off buying it…

How did they get somewhere they could snag? User error.

well, for me it would be doing a tuck no-hander of course

if your shorts snag on your shifter causing you to crash it’s not the shifter or the shorts fault it’s 100% user error!!

lol, not really. how is it user error if your shorts snag? i wouldnt have made them get tangled up in the shifter…
