Lets hope the lack of manners or courtesy is in the minority, I always say hello or stop if I see anybody in trouble. A month or two ago coming down the only steep descent on the Marin a women had an over the bars incident and she had hurt her nose and there was a fair bit of claret, although she was with a group of 4 guys I still stopped and got out my first aid kit and gave her some antiseptic wipes and made sure she was ok and showed them the quickest route back to the car park. I would do the same even if it had been some tosser with no manners barging past me on the trail then coming a cropper, would question there manners though!

Why didnt the police just walk around him rather than push him and hit his legs with a baton. The police seem to be able to get away with violent acts all to easily, when the guy was pushed it would of put him under a lot of stress and IMO had a direct influance on putting extra strain on his ticker contributing to his heart attack and death.

I wonder if the PC in question is called constable Savage and has previously arrested people for stepping on crack in the pavement, perhaps thats why he was pushed.

I have the same problem with my family and for the sake of my sanity and health decided to cut off all contact with them, so my children do not see there grandparents on my side of the family. I get sick of peole judging me and saying but their your parents and stick there noses in when clearly its a two sided coin.

I have satified myself that I have made every effort to form a relationship with my parents & sister come to that but some peole are just beyond reason. I am a much happier person as a result and the children none the wiser.

Ive entered no 499 so better get riding up some more hills if there is 7,500ft of climbing 8O. Not sure if its best to camp or just drive down early on Sunday probably take 1.5 hrs from where I live.

ITs always the same if you were being a bit naughty and rode down a trail marked for walker there would be hell to pay, and quite right to, however if some numptie chooses to walk down a mountain bike trail its again the fault of the mountain biker, you just can’t win. I have been to Nant y Arian 4 times and each time seen off road motorbikes going where they should not. I now know why they have all those gate thingies in South Wales. Dont they have gates or barriers to stop these 4×4’s or does the terrain and area prevent this.

I like that gun rack for the bed, I will have to persuade SWMBO to swap our bed for a double bunkbed that way I can hang my bike from the gunrack…perfect storage solution.

I can make some custom made earphones made according to an ear impression of your ears with buit in speakers, they dramatically reduce street noise & road noise and they will retail for arounr £40, this means you can have your ipod or similar on about half the volume level so its a small price to pay to protect your hearing.

Whinlatter was on Countryfile today and its suppossed to be the highest mtb trail in England, looked more techy than Llandegla hard to judge from what I saw on TV. Also only 14k.

You have to be careful as the bit I’m on about is on the way in on the blue and brings you out to the road in front of the centre on the way to the overflow carpark. Oherwise the jump section after the bridge is where the most injuries occur, if you cant jump or old enough to know better than roll em.

Thanks for the heads up on the S8, did see one on ebay saying it had steal bearings not stainless steel so left be being a bit suspect. Also heard mixed reports about FSA not being very weatherproof.

What the heck is that bloke doing with a SC Nomad if he cant ride the thing, The Black at Llandegla is like the blue at Glentress and nothing there warrants having to get off and walk a section. I can uderstand if he was coming down a big drop off but there arnt any at Llandegla unless you know a few naughty bits that bring you back to the fire road with some nice drop offs and steep techy bits.

Good Job your not in hospital it could of been far more serious and he may of done more than you realized if you have a twinge in your back, he may have a history of bad driving and thought the bst form of defense in the situation was to be threatening. These arrogant bullies need to be taught a lesson so report the incident to the Police. Hope you havent any lasting injuries.
