Some really daft remarks on this thread about Froome, he didn’t under perform he was injured like to see any of you lot do the same. Not seen how Wiggo is doing in the Tour of Switzerland other than being well back in the field on today’s stage.

Got woken up with a nice cuppa and a breakfast of Greek yogurt and fruit, also got given some herb pots and a bottle of Rioja. After putting my tyres on my new wheels we all went to Conwy for icecream and mooch around the shops. I then had a nice relaxing afternoon watching the cycling before putting the roast beef in the oven which was superb and enjoyed by all and scored brownie point with the inlaws.

I hit the big 50 in July and yes I’m a bit past my fighting weight :D

My weight is under control apart from a bet of a gut which is rapidly disappearing, I am 5’11 and just under 82kg so not really overweight. I want to get down to 79kg or perhaps 76kg to improve my climbing prowess.

Meal planning is going to need some consideration as can’t leave that up to Mrs FH even though she insists on doing the weekly shop she will struggle to come up with meal ideas based on my new dietary requirements.

Best thing I think is to be positive about my diagnosis and for it to be a motivator for a healthier lifestyle and get that Adonis like body for real that I’ve always had in my minds eye.

I have Assos and Sportful bibs both very good, however just got Howies bib short and jersey bundle £95ish and so far been very impressed with the quality and comfort of Howies and prefer them to my Assos & Sportful ones.

Great ride on Sunday for Ty Gobiath childens Hospice over 350 riders turned up for the Ffestiniog 360 and did a 62 mile loop that got a bit wet toward the end. Managed to get to the pub for a few beers after. also cut the lawn before the rain came today and cleaned the road bike. now watching spring watch.

Trouble is whoever leads the Lib Dems will probably do just as badly they are clearly a party going nowhere no matter how much they think they can dust themselves down and rebuild. The party has lost morality with its voters probably stemming back from letting the students down with Clegg going back on his promise on student fees.

What do you mean by health conditions i.e. having the sniffles or a more serious complaint, I had to give up half way through a 104 mile sportive as I came down with a virus so I stayed off the bike for a few weeks as kept feeling crap with swollen glands etc, last night though I thought sod it and went for a short ride and now feel great and I’m planning a 50 miler over the weekend to make certain I ok. Makes me wonder if its psychosomatic believing I have a virus when I could be run down instead.
