i just broke my springer this weekend at cwm carn he's had a back spasm so he's on house arrest/no walks for three days which means he's getting ready to explode with energy if a don't take him out soon.
love him to bits, great with our two youngsters and all their friends that come round.
he needs a fair bit of entertaining to keep him from destroying stuff but a new doggy toy will last a matter of minutes.

    second the borrowing of one.
you have to be firm with them though and everything will be fine.

personally i thought it was bobbins but i have to admit there's nowt better than riding with a local for finding the good stuff.
don't try and find stuff yourself.

use a baby bjorn so when they do sleep you can read a book and such with two hands, drink, go for a walk. don't pay for a seat hope for a spare one or on an aisle. next year will be harder as they won't fit a bjorn and they are bloody heavy from vancouver to heathrow(11 hours)

Try a local locksmith, who'll know the latest products and know if they actually work.
Any locksmith should give a free survey.

Get something without built in batteries finding a plug in the wild might prove a little challenging.
Lithium batteries are ace, I'm getting about 3-4 times the life as opposed to alkaline.

    Osprey talon 22 or 33.

Absolutly fab bags about 60 quid for the 33 , not sure about price for the 22.
A lot of bikepackers seem to use the 22 with some packing going on around the bike to take most of the weight off your shoulders.
Got the 33 but the 22 will be my next bag purchase.

i'm in skye next week on a riding holiday and the company i'm going with hire bikes, you could give them a call and see what the score is. i think theyre based in edinburgher but were staying in portree so if you ask niceley they may bring you one to play with. i think they have reigns.

quinny is a pathetic peice of crap, what you want is a BOB Revolution, mind you'll have to go to the other side of the pond to get one but you could always tie it in with a trip to whistler or somewhere equally as nice.

when the weathers rubbish i open the garage door and sit on it just out of the rain and watch the world go by with a podcast on, usaually last about an hour. in the winter when its even worse weather and pitch black i put something like roam on the telly then do a light spin to the slower music tracks then all out thrashing for the sections of the film like when peaty is hooning it down the welsh hills.

Backpackinglight.co.uk for a White box stove, 60 grams. I've got a jetboil too which I love but got one of these to get the weight down even further. It takes meths which is available almost anywhere and will boil .5 of a litre in about 7-9 minutes which is plenty quick enough for me jetboil is about 90-120 seconds. Then get a mytimug from alpkit.

    Jobs a good 'un
