got one for my 15mm fork and it works fine on my 561, you can lock the fork-up to the rack but can't lock the fork to the fork-up.
haven't noticed any marks on my drop out but if i'm honest i haven't looked.
extra height is next to nowt, nothing i'm worried about anyway.
no extra strap but depends how you drive i suppose.

Have already used the airlock extra dry bags as a bar bag which worked hunky dory, three straps, two round the bars and through loops, then the third through the lower loops to the spacers under the stem stops it bouncing around. dont think i'd want any bigger than the 8L bag.

the jandd frame bag can fit both ways. its a bit tight when fitted the right way round but flip it round and it fits almost perfectly.

just got my epic bags today and i'm mightily impressed but the 4 month wait drove me mad.

i did spot this though http://www.adventurecycling.org/store/index.cfm/product/538_85/carousel-design-works-escape-pod-saddle-pack-medium.cfm
so i'm assuming jeff at carousel has built up a big batch for ACA to sell, remember the postage from the states and you may have to pay a customs charge too.

i've got our bikes hanging by the rear wheels using the middle hooks, works fine unless you have deep rims or a huge tyre, normal sizes e.g. 2.1/2.35 fit ok.

just because he's "lost his licence" for drink driving doesn't mean it's not a valid piece of ID.

whilst typing this ive just been informed you can fly in europe with UK ID card but not a driving licence

can't you fly around the european union on a driving licence?

passports aren't essential documents to travel.

flatfish, we can always organise the signs to point the wrong way…

    now that sounds like fun…

    boooooooooooooo for signage.

i love seeing people heading off in the wrong direction then half a dozen sheep following. makes my day. my brother in law did an extra 7 miles last year, when i quizzed him about map reading he admitted his map hadn't come out of his pocket for the whole 100k. muppet.

stick her on a medieval rack for a week or two, standard will fit then.

    well done singlecrack.
did you get it from box?

i've fitted about a dozen of the sws shutters that yetiguy mentions a few years back and whilst it was a joy to install and operated really well the wood effect laths scuffed very easily.
after just two weeks the customer was complaining about lots of scrathes on every door(11 if i remember), after another fortnight i was back to replace the scuffed sections, dont know if it was my company that paid for the new sections or sws done it as a good will gesture.
if you do go for these get some references from existing customers as to the longevity of the finish.

i had whittled it down to the same two bikes myself.
i was err-ing towards the GF, even though i think the paint job is pants, but at the time trek uk(GF importer) had none in the country and didn't know when the next batch would arrive if ever so that kind of left me with the giant, which i got 6 weeks ago and i must say i think it's brilliant. we had 2 giants in our house already so kind of knew the quality of bike i'd be getting but the other thing that sold me was last season giant held back from releasing the 29er as they weren't happy with the geometry till this season therfore losing some of last years sales rather than putting out a shonky bike.
i have the #1 version and think it's fab.

    get one quickly!!!

Wireless are rubbish, had to got to so many customers houses to rip out a wireless system to allow a hard wired system to be fitted. Key fobs are pants too, if you go on holiday with the mrs and she takes her keys too nobody can get in to water the plants etc unless you pay for more fobs, a number code is so much easier.
Hard wired can also have a CCTV system added to it, it can call you on your mobile if activated and adding stuff later is almost always compatible.
My parent were advised by their buliders after the '05 floods in Carlisle to have a wireless setup, it died within the first month and still doesn't work. I'd warned them but apparently Shonky builders know more about alarms than somebody who owns a security business.

so long as you don't have a lie-in and your fairly remote/hidden your bike will be fine. if your still worried tie a guy line to it so your tent gets pulled over if someone stealing it.

never let tyres or shocks or forks down before but i tell them i have every time they ask.
    keeps them happy.
