Apparently the average speed around a 5 mile radius of Bristol city centre sits at 12.82 mph.

    No need to enforce it.

    I think its bobbin’s.

It’s not really a blanket ban of 20mph everywhere is it?

Bigger roads like Coronation road, Hotwells road, Muller road, Bath road, etc are 30mph

Gloucester road North is 40mph as is Cumberland basin.

When I do manage to cycle into work I can’t say I’ve noticed a distinct lowering of speeding cars but I have noticed a lot of dithering and shonky driving practices. The cyclists aren’t much better either.

Cleaning products are either washing up liquid or whatever Mercedes gave us when the wife bought her car.

The bike carrier has been used once on a dry day for a test drive of about 3 maybe 4 miles.

Road salt, if it gets grubby it gets cleaned.

I bought one of these after seeing the 2013 show and my 40th later that year. Mine was on display For the 2014 edition.

Was sat on the loo when I thought a massive lorry went past, lasted about 4 seconds.
My 9 year old son didn’t feel anything but he was fixated on the Nintendo switch at the time, the house could be taken away by a tornado and he wouldn’t notice.

Love going to the track at Newport.
Really good fun, nothing to be scared of, just do what the coach asks and you’ll be fine.

^^ says internal handle can be locked from outside? Or is this a mistake. I was assuming it means can lock handle, and this means snib wont work, but when you go turn key back in the house it cancels the handle deadlock

From the outside, on locking, you’d turn the key 360deg in the opposite direction which would deadlock it (stop the handle from being used).
On opening from the outside the key would need to be turned ~420deg to open it and cancelling the deadlocking action.

The deadlocking mechanism is in the night latch part of the lock and not the cylinder meaning you’d not have to cut a whole bunch of new keys.

    HOWEVER,

As wwpaddler says, you’d need a Yale P1/L2 to stop people reaching in to unlock the night latch through a broken window.
An ERA British Standard Double Locking Nightlatch would also do the same job as would a Yale PBS1.

All three of those options require a key to be easily at hand incase of fire and you need to beat a hasty exit.

I have been a locksmith for over 15 years.

Activities will include skiing and boarding, dog sled riding, I expect hunting for Santa amongst other things. We’re not a family that likes to be “still”.

By sensible price I mean I’d be fine spending £150 on a coat but when I look at snow & rock prices of £350 and upwards I get quite twitchy.

It must be in the last week as they price matched Merlin last week but Merlin have now dropped off their “list”.

It was around three weeks before I managed a rather sedate commute into work. Parts of that ride made me wince.
I also had a track session booked and was very glad I’d decided to sack it off.
I’d be cancelling a trip to the cairngorms if I were you.

I’ve had the norco for about a month now am really enjoying it. Saddle was awful though.
I’ve not hat any meaningful rides on anything else though to compare it against.

Can’t remember any particular trauma but I could’ve been stamped on at football and forgotten about it.

Well mine was inspected yesterday and it’s borderline according to the inspector.
He reckons it’ll fail it’s next mot and he said he wouldn’t take it on the motorway or drive his grandchildren in it so I’m guessing it’s on the side of fail.

I’ve got an 06 navara with 146k on the clock.
I’m awaiting an assessor to inspect it but from what I’ve seen it doesn’t look good.
Hopefully I’ll get a sensible payout.

Having seen my family home go under twice in the last 11 years, I’d never buy anywhere near a river. When my parents moved in ~37 years ago there was a good amount of flood plain around them but numerous new estates have popped up on these plains and it’s a nightmare. 11 years ago it was about 5feet of water in the house, last winter the tide mark was over my head and I’m 6’00”.
Having to rush 300 miles to get them rescued from the upstairs of the house was a right royal pain in the arse then gut the downstairs of all their belonging’s for a second time in such a short time is bobbins.
According to my dad, my mother almost had a breakdown because of it. I was upset about it and I’ve not lived there for over 20 years so I dread to think what state she was in.

Watch from 3 minutes in and tell me you’d risk buying a house by the river. This team couldn’t reach my parents house which was in a deeper part only 2 streets away.

I must point out that all the mountain rescue/fire brigade/lifeboat fast water rescue teams did a tremendous job in Carlisle, went home/back to work then were called out to Yorkshire the following weekend.
I doft my cap to them.

I seem to be back to normal with cycling, work, etc. but when I lean back on the kitchen chairs the back is at the exact height and the broken/healed ribs and it can be pretty uncomfortable.
Can’t feel any steps in the ribs so must’ve set pretty straight.

Toys and project have hit the nail on the head.
Mortice lock with thumb turn is the best she can hope for.

Internal fire doors need thumb turn exits too for rented properties but I’m not 100% if it’s a lodger house.

Make sure you book a place on the rides as they’re always over subscribed.
Best time to visit the booking centre is just after the morning run has departed at 8.15 iirc otherwise you’ll be in a queue right out the door. The earliest you can book is 2 days before.
There is an app in development for booking stuff but I’m not sure when it’ll be released.
They have a route guide booklet ranging from 14.3k upto 180k for a couple of euro’s which is worth it, take a picture with your phone and use that as a route guide if your not on the organised rides.

Tried the soapy water yesterday and that didn’t work.

They all seem to be slightly angled in the shroud that goes through the bumper but it’s a uniformed angle across all four sensors which makes me think that they’re in the right position.

Might the fact that I gave them a spray with a water displacer before fitting be causing it?

    flatfish

Yes, all connected up in the same order and sensors in the same position.

I’ve had deliveries that have asked if I’d like a small tanker when ordering or just the regular tanker.
Hose lengths are around 35-40 metres judging by the length of our drive and where the wagon can get to.

    Bobbins last episode.
“Oooo look at this boat loitering around 6 hours before the deadline”.
The whole coastline of the uk is a possible exit, as are airfields and train stations and the bloke picks out a single RIB at the isle of sheppey.
19,500 miles of coast and they find the extraction vehicle. Tad unbelievable.

If you open the forum using chrome it’ll automatically translate to English.
First two days were hard this year with torrential rain and flooding, temps around 9c then it got better until the last day around the island when my gps recorded 46c, that was rather warm. Spent the first days, pissed wet through, no rain coat would have coped with that amount of rain.
If your wheat intolerant you’ll not have fun. Most food we found was either pizza or sandwiches and I struggled with low energy levels meaning I only completed 440k instead of the 550k.
That said, I treated it like a holiday and had a blast between the low points.

Start as you mean to go on.
If you think the puppy is nice to cuddle on the sofa, think about it when the Great Dane is fully grown. I’ve used the extreme example here but it’s the same for a Great Dane as it it is for a Cocker.

    Be firm but fair.

Never let it in the bedroom.

When driving, either footwell or boot(with parcel shelf removed), never seats.

Plenty of chew toys if you plan on leaving it alone for a couple of hours. The elder of my two will rip a cuddly toy apart in minutes and the younger one will take his to bed and cuddle it. Two completely opposite dogs but inseparable. Both know the difference between their toys and the kids toys.

I have two springers (2.5 & 11.5 year old) that play by the rules and are pretty obedient, barring a few scatty moments and I think I’ve done a pretty good job.

First proper ride this morning, week 5.5, (1 sedate 10k commute at week 3) and I’m a broken man.
Not ribs, they’re pretty good, lungs not hurting the ribs, just a small amount of discomfort whilst climbing out of the saddle. My legs seem to be weak and feeble this afternoon, 28k feels like a lot more than it did 6 weeks ago before my slip.
