I just had similarish on a float RL. A couple of returns to Mojo until they found the tiny part that was just broken, so deforming under high pressure. Immersion showed leakage around rebound knob.

Thorn trail was more gorse. Not really ‘lost’, fortunately. However, the footpath (ahem) further north east was awkward to navigate. Is that generally now considered out of bounds ?

wide in the middle or wide at the end ? My feet are square ended – spesh works for me.

36mm stated, and that’s about right at 40psi. As I said, it’s a tight fit (on the carbon frame) but I did do an Wales off-road coast to coast and had no rubbage. And the performance was incredible, even did a bit of CyB.

I’ve been using Clement XPLOR MSO, tubeless, with good results, but they do wear quick. I’m trying WTB Cross Boss next.

I’ve heli-taped extensively the seat stays, chain stays and fork as there isn’t much clearance and the rear wheel does go out of true all too frequently.

Replanting next winter according to the signs, so it’ll be a while before they can return. However, yesterday east side of the Woburn road was running well and looked very unridden – I got brambled within an inch of my life !

Oh yes. Big skies. Some bits still left, but even they dead-end. The roller-coaster area is still intact, though.

If you don’t like the British I very much doubt you’ll like anyone else.

Is this true ? My experience of working in Germany and Sweden is that the people are, in general, much more reasonable. My experience of working in Italy is that they’re less so (but very entertaining and welcoming). To deny cultural differences seems odd.

For me, moka machines over aeropress. Stronger but shorter, so depends a bit on what you want.

The rocky Shute down to the stream however is very badly eroded by the mx bikes, and is virtually unrideable for most people.

Really ? There last week on a 20 year old cross country bike and rode it all. HappyLife was right on the edge for me but brilliant for it.

It’s not any good if you don’t like pedalling but go to BPW if uplifts are your bag.

    @Kimbers

If it’s Lodge Lake you’re near, get involved with the left leaning folk in Loughton village, led by Peter Todd. Start at the parish council. you’d be surprised at how many think like us…

    @ 5thElephant.

MK. Ever lived there ? It’s crap to visit (unless you like shopping) but excellent for living. Huge, easily accessible green spaces, great traffic free cycling, and (mostly) decent housing and schools.

I can ride the 4 miles to Waitrose without going on a single road, and mostly through parkland. Kids can do that to school. Woburn on your doorstep. etc. etc. But if you’ve never lived there there’s no way to understand.

Longslade Trail is pretty easy to follow now, only the end bit (assuming you start at Sandy Lane) is unmarked.

First ride yesterday, I thought I was being unobservant – the marking does just vanish after that bermed switchback ?

Kimbers, you’re in MK I believe. As a fellow resident, it’s difficult to imagine a better urban environment for kids to grow up in. Tons of green space, great cycling, easy access to London…

29lbs, what size ? I bet the wheels are a good bit of that. I wonder what the frame weight is ? I’ve steel bikes which are 2kg for a 64cm frame…

I’m afraid, Jamba, we’ve already seen redundancies in my (Italian owned) high tech company, due to funding cuts directly caused by the inevitability of Brexit. The rationale is that if they insource the work to Italy then they’ll get more EU funding.

    The floodgates have opened.

Alfreton. The ofcom map suggests O2 but I was hoping someone could confirm on-the-ground so to speak.

He has no internet etc so wifi calling no use sadly.

Did they seem distressed ? If not, it may be better than the alternatives. I wouldn’t do this through choice with mine, but on a one-off desperate situation, who knows…

35″ trousers. Long arms too. Oldskool frames I always used 64cm/25″. The Diverge sizes up v similar to an old 64 in reach, and rides almost exactly like my 1983 Record Ace, which is the highest praise possible.

6’2″ on a 61 here. I’ve inverted the stem, and fitted 48cm handlebars, and it fits perfectly. The seatpin is almost at its maximum extension, so any smaller would not have fitted.

It’s an incredible bike – justifies the hype. I rode mine around Morzine this year, fabulous. Enjoy.

I think the frame number does look Raleigh-ish. G would be where it was made (Gazelle), C would be February, 3 would indicate 1993, the rest would be the serial number. It’s the same format as my 4 1980s Raleighs.

Clement Xplor MSO here – only a couple of hundred miles of mixed gravel / road / byways and they look brand new.

Crikey, my rear one was toast after 250 miles Wales coast to coast. However, the grip off-road was sensational – I got up and down everything that mates with nanos failed to clear.

The stuff that generation saw, I am so glad I haven’t. My parents did.

It’s amazing who Vic Viner’s granddaughter is. That’s what I call social mobility. It’s what they fought, and then voted, for. Folk need to look back at the millions of heroes, what they gave us, and how it’s been squandered…

    Thanks, Drac.

Fix for me seems to be enabling cellular data on the ‘Music’ app. WTF ? I don’t ever use Apple music. So they’re forcing you to accept more rubbish (like that U2 stuff) you don’t want. Grr.

Aftermarket Kenwood in mine, aftermarket Pioneer in wife’s. Both stereos about 18 months old…

The BMW issue is, I believe, bluetooth. Mine works fine on bluetooth, it’s the lightning / USB connector that’s the problem.

    Can’t see a fix on the internet…

A friend’s daughter went to one. Super intense. They’re looking for positive temperament as well as physical ability.

The daughter ‘passed’ but decided that she preferred to go to university as she would struggle with the pressure.
