I’m also the 2nd oldest person in my office of 30 people. I feel like a dinosaur

    I wouldn’t mind, but i’m only 37

Hmm, I’m second youngest in mine, and I’m 52.

Lady 6 doors away is 90, worked at Bletchley Park. Still keeps the code of silence. Respect.

    STW.

Jenn is IMO the best writer in MTB at the moment. Chipps is still good after all these years too. And I’m always delighted when there’s an article by the adventurous Poles.

I worship at the alter of the curly bar on sundays, so a 40 mile road loop through north Bucks. Lovely.

If these were made by some niche manufacturer no-one would be embarrassed to say they are the best MTB ever made. And I don’t even own one, but I wish I did…

    How about CERVELO ?

is it SIR-VELO or CHER-VELO. If Italian then the latter, but everyone uses the former…

You will never need fourth gear…

makes me think about spinning out 46×11 coming into Les Linderets, and my mate behind saying ‘I had over 70k on my speedo and you were getting away, fast’

I once had a cassette where a nine speed cog & spacer was in amongst the eight speed ones. That took some finding, and all the cogs above it jumped…

trail centre / DVLA theory more likely IMO. If you broke into my shed from a CRC link you’d find about 30 part worn tyres and a load of 8 speed spares. Crims would know that. However, a reg of a nice new Audi at a trail centre, much more valuable…

I’ve done MK to London a few times. It can be a bit bleak and relentless at times Berkhamstead is a nice place to stop, good canalside pubs.

I walked Watford to London once in a day. I won’t do that again, I can tell you…33 miles of tedium, and we had to break into the zoo to complete it (t’was dark by then). As it turned out, breaking in was easy, getting out was another story.

Do we need a new STW, i.e. SouthernTrackWorld ? Riding up north’s just bleak, give me the tight wooded singletrack of the south (Swinley, Woburn etc) anyday.

Usually ends with them getting you to connect to their server (they ask you for your ip address) so that they can suck bank details out of your PC. I strung one along and pretended to do as he asked, but half way through said that I’d suddenly remembered I was using a mac and his instructions don’t work.

if you’re staying in Morzine, drive to Avoriaz, pick up kit, drive back and start your ride at Morzine. Then you can roll straight into Robinsons…

Gotto get her off the lead. When she meets others, it’s flight or fight. On the lead there’s no flight option. Our local dog trainer organises big groups to run around together, sure you’ll have something similar in your area.

If you’re local to MK then it’s Tracey at Acorn you need to talk to.
