Morzine and Chamonix are south of the lakes…having said that, didn’t particularly enjoy the passportes last year.

you will breach the internal liner if you do anything dramatic. unless it’s reduced capacity by 50% I’d leave it.

Depends where you need to be close to.

Isle of Wight ticks a load of boxes and reasonably quick to London…when the surfs not up.

one westie one scottie. Westie smells horrid, scottie smells sweet. same diet, same lives, no idea why they’re different.

I think you can allways tell the people who have been trained by premier.

Indeed so. The courses far exceed what’s mandated in the NVQ level for the exams.

    Yes.

Back in 2006 I did a Gym Instructor and then Personal Trainer with Premier Training. Followed it up with Sports Massage. Did it as a bit of personal interest, having a (short) career break to do it.

I thought the courses were really good, and although I didn’t go on to work in the fitness industry (I went back to being a software engineer) most of the others did. On minimum wage…

6’3″ on a large 1999 Marin Mount Vision. Looks enormous on its own, looks like a moulton under a gorilla when I’m on it.

I like the ‘Blue Labour’ thing, hopefully it’ll get some traction.

Sadly I can’t find anything out there as good as the old HH fabric. I have 3 originals which I treat as the priceless goods that they are.

I really really wish they still did them.

The long straights are for meditation, like a long alpine climb. Just let go.

Your calves will hurt for as long as you run. Unless your soles start to hurt (this can turn into plantar fasciaitis, v nasty) don’t worry. I can’t see that stretching them (i.e. making them longer) will help unless that’s actually affecting your gait. Strecthing your hamstrings may help though, as they will be shortening as they get stronger.

ps I’m the world’s worst runner so maybe don’t listen to me…I do about 10 miles a week and it takes me ages.

Ask people if you’re stinky. Helmets get pongy, leave outside of the office. Second bird-bath at lunchtime. Deodorant before you leave home. Short haul into work, long haul home. You’ll need much more food. And drink.

I have. I didn’t think it was his fault (nor did the police) and it didn’t affect my relationship with him. He though, was enormously cut up by it (kept running over in his mind what he could have done different) which eventually caused his early retirement through mental illness.

I don’t think anyone is unaffected by killing someone.

V&A cafe has 3 rooms, all of which were designed by top 19th century designers, including one by William Morris. They are well worth a look for architectural reasons, and the food is pretty good too.

If the weather’s nice, you can also have a drink outside in the quad.

If you’re visiting the V&A I can’t see why you’d go anywhere else unless you were looking for a real treat (as noted, Bibendum).

Shame about the photo-shopped bike on the front cover, spoils a great picture. Pads but no gloves, mis-matched bike/rider size, perfectly clean – purleez…

DO you want the data to discover something, or try and use the data to convince someone else of your wants (generally to fund more research)…

I’ve been fortunate enough not to know if my Direct Line annual policy will actually cough up. 13 alpine visits and nothing worse than broken ribs. I’ve hurt myself worse at home (Woburn).
A mate got helicoptered off the passportes, insurance is part of the entry so he didn’t find out if his would have either.

I’m sure some on here will (unfortunately) have more experience than me on this.

You can avoid the goat village by taking the ramp on the left just before, and it’s off-road all the way to the lake. V rocky but not technical.

Attempting to punch on the hooter is unlikely to make contact unless he’s very slow. He will then have hold of your arm, and he being burly van driver and you being skinny cyclist, you are in big trouble.

If you must attack, gob copiously in his face and, during the second or so that you have as his arms instinctively try to defend his face, either deliver fierce blow to solar plexus / nether regions (or preferably) ride away tout suite.
