feenster I was the first aider at the scene and did indeed do a risk assessment. As the casualty was OFF the TWO meter wide track I thought it best not to move him other than make him as comfortable as possible. Every move he made I was supporting him and constantly asking him if he felt OK. The scene of the crash was on a straight track as Simon has already noted so easily visible from distance.

Sorry if I failed to recognize the threat from a numpty throwing himself at us when he should have been watching where he was going.

Finally whether this is or is not the time or place I am starting to get pretty pissed off about Julia getting the blame for said numpty's lack of control.

In response to the qualified First Aider comments, I am indeed fully qualified but there is not much a First Aider can do in a situation like that other than make him safe, as comfortable as possible and alert the emergency services. I must admit it was very gratifying that said emergency services commented on how well we'd looked after him.

mono mini pros here 160/140 rotors. Not as powerful as the Tech 2s on my susser but plenty of modulation. Hoisy when wet.

One on the back of my hardtail Nobby Nic up front. Lost count how many times I slid off on Sunday in the Lakes. Useles in wet muddy conditions. Now replaced with Blue Groove/Nevegal till next year.

How does it handle the climbs with a 120mm fork? Mine has Sid World Cups at 100mm and I wouldn't want them any longer. Dropped to 85mm for racing.
