3 pages 107 posts 57 “voices” only 2 people have actually ridden it and one of those went up.

Think we can draw our own conclusions from that.

FWIW we rode Longmire, Skelgyll woods, Loughrigg tarn, Tiberthwaite, and down th Fox on Saturday as well. All have had work done on them and all have been whined about on here. Personally don’t have a problem with any of it was just glad to be on my bike in a stunning setting riding super dry trails.

Harder to ride up than the bedrock it’s covered.

By the **** lad I’m genuinely impressed if you’ve got a clean ascent from nibthwaite on your CV. Chapeau.

@molgrips one of the best bits on the track was a section of zigzags with drops, that’s gone

I’ll swear it was there yesterday afternoon but perhaps the trail fairies straightened it overnight

Quite a few local riders, who use it as a good way in and out of the forest are pissed off about it and quite rightly.

And quite a few are not.

So, has anyone of you actually ridden it (or the fox) since the “sacrilege” took place?

Outstanding ride by MikeToyn. Fantastic. That’s two 2nd places for Team Wheelbase this month in these crazy type of events although this far outweighs my efforts in the Cairngorms.

    Well done fella, Chapeau!

Did it in a day about a month ago. Really enjoyed it too – well signed on quiet roads with reasonable surfaces. Report here:

Pistons seem stuck. Lever only pulls the once then there is no pressure. Feels like there is a massive airlock but I’ve bled the system.

A2Z/Podiums/Revs here too, great wheels for two years racing/training.

however..the time has come for new pawls/springs & it does not appear to be a servicable option ie can’t get hold of pawls/springs. So it looks like a new pair of hubs:(

    fizzer

So that’ll be a new hub then. Or pair as I haven’t seen them listed separately. Thanks anyway.

As for those questioning about the clean-up / landowner permission – I understand provided nothing ‘man made’ is build on the fell, the landowners are fine with it

That will be a no then

Its also utter bollox – where did you get this informatiom?

Wiz, did I speak to one of you on the ridge between Sgurr as Iubhair & Am Bodach? Me & the Mrs were doing the Ring of Steall. There were 3 of you & the one I spoke to said you were going over Am Bodach down to KLL then WHW.

BMBO National Championships weekend this coming Sat/Sun in Lorton Cumbria

    http://www.bmbo.org.uk/calendar/details.php?event_id=332

which is exactly like the Polaris but without having to carry bivvy gear

BMBO also have a Facebook page, just search BMBO & press like

I think far too many people dismiss our sport without actually trying it, it can be a fun day out or a full blown competitive event, challenges the grey matter as well as physical ability & gets you riding in different places. The NYMBO events are run by the same course planner who did the Polaris but there is only one left this year. Winter series starting in the Peak District soon.

    Hope this helps
