"Half of it was closed when i went the other week, disappointing after a 90 min road trip!! check the website for closuals before you go" 😕

I go about twice week as I live within 20 mins. Never seen more than about 10% closed or diverted for either improvements or new bits. At leaset they are constantly improving and maintaining the place. Agreed its not the most challenging place to ride, but ridden hard and fast, its still fun 8)

Check out Ready to Ride Cycles choice of HT components pedals. They are the same ones sold by Nuke Proof and Superstar, at far cheaper prices.

julians, it starts in the 1st of the big black runs, about half a dozen turns in there is a tight lefthand bermed turn around a tree, instead of taking that turn, just got straight up the bank/berm and your on it 😉

14 stone, always run 21-23 psi front (DIY tubeless). I also prefer wider rims such as 5.1's or Flows, which give a better tyre profile for cornering, especially on 2.2-2.35 tyres.

PeterPoddy….is that tapered spacer still doing the job on your Pikes ?

If you slow the rebound down and it bottoms out, you have TOO much rebound dialed. I am about 92-3kg kitted out, always run a std. spring in my (Pushed) Pikes, never bottom out. Try a bit more compression damping ! 😉

Have you removed the rebound knob, and then undone the holow bolt it goes through ? nothing on top needs to be removed to get the lowers off !

Been 250+ times in rain, hail, snow, ice, wind, dusty + and sunny, at night & day. Still enjoy it. Lucky enough to live 15 mins away. Maybe not the most challenging place to ride, but then I'm not Gee Atherton either. One thing I do see going as often as I do, is the amount of hard work and investement that goes into the place, noy only on the many new bits of trail (that hopefully will be open soon) but also maintaing the existing trails. 8)

Got these ones with Ti axles for £86, very slim & only 295g, superb pedals so far. As far as I am aware they are the same ones Nuke Proof are selling for £149.

Prior to these , I had been running V12's for the last 2 years. Super tough and reliable, but no where near a comfy to use as the Nano's.

Hi Peterpoddy, the part with the rubber bladder is strippable (is that a real word :?) I put sae10 oil in mine. The other tube is Marzocchi's version of a dual air chamber (very unreliable), which I dumped on mine and fitted a modified Pike U Turn spring assembly. It just happens I have just put them for sale on the classifieds with some pics of the modified bits 8)

YES you can. I have changed my QR x 135m Pro 2 to a 12mm x 135mm. The wheel was on my Hustler as 135mm QR, now on my Alpine 160 as 12 x 135 Maxle, Simples 😉

Great for the amount of punters, and the silly bids they give. BUT beware of the fees, the adverts are cheap, but the Final Value Fee is steep, plus the Paypal fee if taking payment that way.

I sold a frame last year for £495, it cost £60 to sell, advert around £3, Paypal charges £17, and Final Value Fee £40.

To be fare though, I put it on here for £450 and it did'nt sell.

If you do put it on ebay, make sure you have a few good photos, an honest description, and include your mobile number in the add. That way you might get someone wanting and willing to pay for the item before the auction ends. In that case you could cancel the auction before it finishes, and get off paying final value and Paypal fees. Hope that lot makes a bit of sense 😕
