njee20 – cheers mate, i thought that was the size, thanks for confirming. Yes i am annoyed to be honest. I have emailed the seller but have yet to receive a reply. They havent been touched since i bought them 4 weeks ago.

I think i may have to. If it could be fixed easily i wouldve probably gone down that route. However its looking like a costly and probably problematic fix. This is the first time ive looked at them properly since the purchase. Theyve been stuck in a box whilst i practice walking again… 😐

Its a blind hole. Im not sure how this helicoil thing works or what diameter my bolt / bolts holes are and what i would need to make them etc etc….. 😕

I was thinkin somewhere near Derry lodge. Perhaps out towards Corrour bothy. Only its a little sparce tree wise near that bothy…. I forsee a day skiving in front of maps when i return to work 😀

Sorry, driving there and wild camping. There is a small group going (around 8 at most) so i would like a bothy to spend the evening in, but we will be camping in tents / under the stars weather permitting…. All will be done responsibly, i have to practice what i preach 🙂

Ye that could be an idea with regards to the ride. I will be quite a few weeks before im able to go out unfortunately. Im off work just now post surgery on the ol' leg. Means i have lots of time to waste on stw, but the cabin fever is kickin in…. 😕

I driven loads of times too. its far better with someone else. if even just to ease the boredom. Also, the french fleece you for road tolls. You will also need a form of road tax badge if you goin to Switzerland. As the others have said, check with insurance. Alsoi recommend not speeding.Getting pulled over by 3 gun clad french police in a high powered subaru is not funny……at the time 🙂
