Having been a member of STW for a long, long time I don’t think I will open myself up to what will happen if I post the pics. I’d rather email them to the good (hopefully trustworthy) samaritan…. 😀

Ive done exactly this 3 times. Great van and a lot better for driving that distance than a actual van.

Eventually fine shed. I like it. A lot. A few bits to sort out and things to tweak. Looking forward to getting out a lot…

There is probably enough around that area for an hour or 2 blast after work. If you incorporate Camperdown, Templeton Tangle, through clatto reservoir and then a brief road section through Birkhill to Backmuir Woods. As above look at Trail Scotland or post on here https://www.facebook.com/TheAMBTA these guys are responsible for Templeton Tangle etc

Sorry, wasnt clear enough. its a small complex with a bank of garages. mine is the middle of 5. Summer time / fair weather i can run an extension cable out the window along the top of 2 garages to mine.

Is this missing thread at the bottom of the valve? Or is it normal?

didnt get one with the forks. I have a rockshox pump. Works fine on my marzzochis and DHX air shock. just doesnt seem to screw far enough down. I standard Lezyne pump fits (dont worry, i didnt use this). So im at a little bit of a loss….

nothing to add regards a biking holiday. But i have to say Slovenia is one of the nicest places i have visited, and ive been around. Stunning country. Spent time around Lake Bled and from what i can gather theres plenty biking around. Any gondolas that are in use can, apparently, be real dodgy. According to a chap i talked to on a lift in Chatel in the summer.

Cheers theraggyone, that’s just the sort of feedback I was looking for. Ideally want to use it like you said and in the near future for enduro (cringe) racing. The 140/160mm mix could be ideal.

    Any others?

Ye I appreciate that. May we’ll be a learning curve. May be that I’m lucky that folk on here know the score or are more trusting. All my sales on here have either been a payment (transfer of funds not with the buyer protection so no fees either end) or the buyer has adjusted the fee. I’ve just found that whatever the price stated is that’s what the seller receives from the buyer.

I suppose it depends on the “very decent price”. Is it worth getting it and swapping the parts out onto a good hardtail? Easier to maintain for a beginner etc? I tried a friends one before and found it heavy and a touch wallowy. But like most have said, it’ll get him out biking. Which is the main thing…..

    Hmm, mixed reviews then
An XT medium cage was the other option.
