Friend threw a water balloon at me from quite close, had my hands in my jacket pockets, I spun around to protect myself from it and in the process caught it in my shorts pocket, got to throw it back at him.

Breakfast at the Arms Reach Bistro in Deep Cove.
Grouse Grind or Gondola to the top of grouse, and whilst in the area have a wander around the Capilano Dam.
Drive up Cypress to the viewpoint.
Hire a bike and ride around Stanley Park, English Bay and Kitsilano Beach.

another recommend for Ugly Duckling, just get the album – journey to anywhere. New album – Moving at breakneck speed is pretty good too.

Run a joystick on the bars on country roads, switching to low beam usually OK for passing cars but a bit of faff.

Was thinking of getting one of the beacon diffusser covers[/url] painting and cutting it to direct the beam better.

We should be thinking about resources here, the homeless and skinny should be allowed to take food off of fat people. 😛

Could start by trying some virus removal, download the rescue disk in link below and burn to a cd/dvd, boot to it, update and let it do a full virus scan.

    Kaspersky Rescuedisk

Used in the past with some success, cleaned enough to let me back into a system through safe mode, backup the files and rebuild.

This is reassuring, looks like I could maybe have something not right with the car that means it could be a little more efficient going on others figures; 2001 Passat 130 TDI estate. I get 40mpg average, 45mpg if I really try and stick to about 60mph and accelerate really softly etc. Yes, it’s regularly serviced and the tyres have air in them, seems to run OK too.

Cheers Ewan, numbers noted for the future. 🙂
Hey GW, thanks for the kind encouragement, I’m a 5’7″ 9.5 stone chap, and have heard too many bad things about stopping to confront these guys who know they are in the wrong, and have also in the past been on the wrong end of big persons proving how hard they are by attacking someone smaller than them to start encouraging it.
With hindsight I might have said something like Mattbee suggested but that opportunity didn’t really come up, whilst on the Labrynth I only really thought of getting to the end to get out of their way.
Very true Hurtmore, i’ve helped with the maintenance of that trail a few times in the past so it’s quite annoying to know its getting churned up by MX bikes.

Yep, was fine, wasn’t DH bike fast on open bumpy stuff but didn’t have massive problems keeping up either, faster through the tight tech stuff too. 🙂

The sort of thing i’m thinking of is bascially a rigid board with a cargo net or something on to strap a normal bag to. Seems like such a thing doesn’t exist.

A bucket?! 😀 might try and make something like that at this rate.

Yes tried that, it’s OK but got this idea in my head that a cargo net and some sort of backing that mounts to one side of the rack would be good, or a big pannier type bin (waterproof not essential) so I can pop the courier bag in there when riding to work and on days that I stop for shopping I can fill it with the shopping and wear courier bag. Was just looking to see if such a thing existed.

Inner Tubes are like Books, when you lend one, you shouldn’t expect to get it back, but maybe get a different one from them at a later date..

Do the same as 5AM on occasion at Swinley, take a carrier bag out, fill it and pop in bin at Look out, thanks to 5AM and others for also doing this..

Rode Coed y Brenin this weekend and gained two inner tubes on my travels, all good to repair and use again, just don’t get it, they even went to the effort to hang them from a tree, should have used that effort to pocket or put in a bag!

Keep on at the Police to see what they will charge him with.

Was knocked off intentionally and the guy drove off in a little road rage incident a couple of years ago, got some compensation through CTC after a long drawn out bunch of negotiation with drivers insurance but left the prosecution to take its course. Driver was eventually given 3 points and a £60 fine for driving without due care and attention. 🙁

    Hope it all ends well.

Have the Filthy Ape wallpaper on PC at work but might change soon, getting asked ‘is that you?’ repeatedly is getting annoying.

Worked from home today so took my lunchbreak in Crowthorne Woods, trails were fine, corkscrew was interesting, Plenty of snow but only a few inches deep so perfectly rideable.
I took a picture but its not great:

Fitted Quatrac 3’s on the old Passat estate I bought a while ago, it had some really bad no name things on there. Lived in Canada for a year and ran winter tyres all year round with no problems so did a bit of research and figured i’d try the Vredstein here, wanted something to allow me to drive pretty much everywhere muddy roads, and dirt tracks etc. they’ve been great in all weathers and they were great today on snowy ungritted back roads around Surrey hills, unfortunately it was everyone else that got stuck and stopped me moving.

Was out in Swinley today, it’s not too bad, Some sections are turning into Highways again (ride through the puddles!) but generally OK.. Bumped into Jesus as well, he has been out making Deerstalker and Labyrinth lovely again…

Had a 1.3 ford escort when i was your age, was very cheap and would fit loads of stuff with careful planning, todays equivalent would be a ford focus 1.4 estate?! that'd be my choice..

Or just do a search on autotrader or similar for estate and see what comes up??
