    Check 1, 2
    Whip up a man-child brew
    Can’t handle real flavour?
    Add some sugary goo

It makes me laugh you see, when the impossibly twee, say
“I can’t start the day, til I’ve had my coffee”,
Then proceed to order up some crazy wack tack
Soy vanilla decaf triple latte the size of a family hatchback
    Dude, you ought to know
That ain’t no ordinary cup o Joe
    Ya missed out the k
From your joke milky froth show

    Word to ya mothers

    Wrong pods, bunch of sods.
    MisterT hates vanilla
    like a rocker hates mods

    personally, I’d rather have tea
I’d even rather my knackers were wrapped round a tree

aeropress posse, your machine don’t impress me
    I don’t do nespresso cuz I ain’t a big jessie
I just like a strong black cup o’ Joe
not that ersatz, syrupy shiz you know

41% at the mo. Not sure I’ll have the time or the legs to complete. Probably need at least 2000m on Sunday to get it done – but I’m off to the commie games that day.

Great job. Saw something similar a couple of months ago and have been keeping my eyes peeled for some old kit to copy the idea myself.

Looks cool on the brick wall.

Signed for fibre broadband and phone with them in January. Excellent so far. Solid line performance. Cheap. Good service on setup. Is the line still not BT though? Was certainly an openreach engineer that came to do the line upgrade.

A mate had his stag do here: http://www.stokesbarn.co.uk/
Didn’t do any biking but ticks all the boxes you mention. Great place.

Reminds me of this tale of an Aussie politician…

When Sir Winton Turnbull [who represented a large rural seat] was raving and ranting on the adjournment and shouted: “I am a Country member”. I interjected “I remember”.

He could not understand why, for the first time in all the years he had been speaking in the House, there was instant and loud applause from both sides.

    😀

OK computer by radiohead. Always makes the best-of lists but I much prefer the bends or some of their more recent stuff.

I’ve been knocked-back before, for pics that I thought should be fine. According to the rules, they may pull you up for:
    Too much shadow.
    Background not plain/flat.
    Head slightly tilted.

Having said that, the concept of baby passport photos is a bit flawed. I have a 6 month old and his passport shows him at 3 months: he’ll still have it when he’s a 5 year old schoolboy… Probably totally useless as a form of recognition by then.

Good pic by any other standard though. Your boy looks cool.

I quite like wasps but you can’t be having them in your shed. I once blowtorched a football size nest up in the corner of my parents’ old garage.

Asbestos garage, so the nuclear option seemed viable. Wrapped my face in a scarf and torched it before beating a hasty retreat. Cue drama as a couple of hundred angry and confused wasps dropped to the floor and buzzed around dying and/or trying to escape/sting something.

Adrenaline kick but I did feel a tad guilty.

Hi mcmoonter. Always enjoy your build threads. Very envious.

I was checking out the links to your paintings on that other thread. Really like the look of your work. I was particularly drawn to the couple of seascapes I saw (I’m an island boy, so that must’ve resonated with me).

Do you have an up-to-date listing of your work for sale somewhere?

Cheers. Nice progress on the deluxe shed btw 🙂

I’ve seen passengers ejected form their seats on a bus. They can stop a lot quicker than you can.

“I have seen” does not equal “common occurrence”. Buses have accidents… does that make buses inherently dangerous? Emphatically not.

Keeping your eyes and ears peeled and being aware of external conditions, it’s quite easy to draft on certain stretches of road. Just ’cause you don’t want to do, it doesn’t make anyone who does more likely to get hurt.

It’s about relative speed. Also, the stopping distance of a bus full of passengers or alorry fully laden is quite long. Plus, pro drivers are less likely to hoy on the anchors than erratic car commuters.

Are you sure it’s legit? I’m no expert but the rear dropout and seat stays are totally different. The welds on the green one look a bit agricultural for a ‘dale as well.

Might just be an earlier era frame I suppose- no doubt the retrobikers will keep you right.

Yeah – Luvian’s is very good but I don’t think I’d drive to Cupar for 1 bottle of wine… Edinburgh is closer.

    Dog-boat… class! 😀

Serious question though: is there a word that means someone who used to be your step parent but isn’t any longer?

Was talking about my former step-dad to a friend a couple of days ago and realised I didn’t actually know a name for what his relationship to me is now. Legally there’s no link at all – but in reality he’s still part of the family. You’d think there’d be a word as these days I doubt it’s unusual!

I’ve been running a Peugeot 207 1.6 diesel 100 miles a day for the last few months. Surprisingly comfy and un-tiring for the size of car.

Average about 57 mpg without trying to be particularly frugal. Bought for just over 7k. About to change jobs so might get rid of it.

Nice – those bridesmaids up the top there have had their dresses styled after that Klein adroit paintjob of the early 90s.
