Anyone else remember when the emergency tape cut in during their Peel session?

    9pm til I come, wasn’t it?

If you want light, reliable wheels, the DTs are the one. If you want your wheels to survive the apocalypse in one piece and aren’t bothered about a little extra heft, the Surly’s have you covered.
I’ve got surly clown shoes on the ICT, but I’m thinking about selling a bike to get some of the DTs as a “summer” set.
And that’s the thing, I’m going to have to sell another bike to buy some wheels.

    Fat bikes are like crack.

I have an ICT, it’s amazing. Like Charlie said, the value in the Surly’s is in the wheels, tyres and frame. Brakes and gears are consumables and can be replaced fairly cheap and easy. Fatbike wheels are not cheap.
Get the Wednesday, if I didn’t already have an ICT, I’d buy one.

Big fat tyres don’t replace suspension, they are more of an alternative to suspension. With HUGE amounts of grip.

I used to be a butcher. A 10 day out of date Turkey would smell worse than a camels aresehole.

Open it up, let it sit for 5 minutes, if there is no smell then it will be fine to eat.*

Must be shit to be a try hard misanthrope…

If you really understood being a misanthrope you’d know that it’s not hard at all…You’re right, it is shit though, but alas, i’m only a human.

Must be difficult being a bunch of pushy Christmas ****.

I’d enjoy the time off if I had any.

Quite like new year’s though. The only day of the year it’s socially acceptable to be as drunk as I like to get on a regular basis.

I’m working a 25 hour shift, in a children’s home full of children who have to spend the day having their noses rubbed in it that their families either can’t or won’t spend time with them. It never ends well.

To me, it’s just another day. Celebrate if you like, I don’t care, I just wish everyone would stop giving me shit because I neither like nor wish to celebrate Christmas.

So no, I don’t despise Christmas, but I do resent being constantly brow beaten for not wanting to take part in it.

Die Antwoord – I really liked their first few albums, but they’ve gone completely shit.

Liked their early stuff did you?

    Hipster!

I like Die Antwoord because they make me laugh. I also like them because a certain section of pseudo intellectual music fans keep waiting for them to drop some world changing, genre defining album and have been clinging on to them for years waiting for it to come. Then they come out with another album of dick jokes and all the same people just don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Top level musical trolls.

Noone who says Die Antwoord actually listens to Die Antwoord, due to them sounding like Die Antwoord.

Me and my wife (who loves them) are the exception that proves the rule.

I was just showing off how awesome I am. Never even listened to half my list, just overheard some guy in shoreditch say they were cool.

In reality, I listen exclusively to East 17.

They are both completely mental, but in totally different ways. Nessa was clearly treated very badly in her previous home and appears to have some dog form of learning disability. She’s a very anxious dog, but so in love with humans. Hates birds and cat, though.
Bryn’s a typical Staffy really, a bit quiet and moody, but the most gentle little bugger I’ve ever known, at least until he gets a toy in his mouth.

Berlin attacker placed on US No Fly list months ago. Not rocket science.

Wasn’t Cat Stevens on that list?

Well the US clearly has far less of a problem with domestic terrorism than does Europe. I wonder why that is ?

I see what you’re saying, Tom. I’m not victim blaming, far from it. I work with very vulnerable children, some of whom are refugees. If you put me in their position I think I’d be pretty angry and desperate. I also help out with a few adult refugees and asylum seekers. Watching people’s mental health deteriorate day after day living in a Kafkaesque semi-nightmare, it’s not difficult for me to see how that despair can turn to hate. That’s why I help, so that we all get to see the human in each other.

If we don’t see the humanity in people we are lost. A lot of those people going to fight for Daesh are victims in one way or another. This is no good verses evil story, I wish it was that simple.
