Well I think I have just booked the Cotic for a session at Glentress but its not showing up on my calendar.

The Alpine 160 will more than likely soak up jumps and has been ruled out along with most other bikes with more than 130mmm travel

Sounds like you want a short travel downhill bike AND a ride all day feel the trail bike?

That just about sums it up, also something that can handle a session on the BMX track and doesn’t soak up all the jumps, light enough to pedal all day and strong enough for 6ft drops….

Can I also have the moon on a stick please?

Just a quickie, I’ve been perusing the specs on the cotic website and noticed the Hemlock comes with a 73mm bb shell. I’d like to run a dual ring chain device with ISCG mount. Does the hemlock have tabs, is it possible to machine the shall down to 68mm to take a bb mount ISCG tab or is there another way to mount my MRP, I’m guessing that I’d need crankset with a longer axle???

Also where’s the closest place to teesside to demo one, I’m taking an Orange Blood out on Saturday but would like a go on a Hemlock (large preferably) and a Corsair before making my mind up.

Well I wouldn’t really class 120mm as long travel but here you go, my new zaskar with 120mm reba bolt thru, this is the fastest bike I’ve ever owned, climbs brilliantly and feels very stable on the downs, doesn’t leave you black and blue after a long ride either unlike my old chameleon.

now with a big ring as I kept running out of gears

Quite possibly the finest and lightest kids bikes…

The daughter has the isla cnoc 16 and its brilliant, really well thought out even has undersize bars and brake levers that a 4year old can operate. My son has a 20″ scott scale and thats very nice too.

I’m 6ft 1″ and ride a 13″ commencal max max, length is more important than height on a DJ frame unless your wanting to fit a long post and ride about with the seat up.

I-Ache yes I’m torn between the Orange Blood and the hemlock too, egding towards the orange at the moment, hmmm decisions, interesting thread, its good to get a bit of feedback on the hemlock.

One thing that is swaying me towards the orange is the fact it looks on paper to be a bit more jumpy freeride orientated which is what I’m after. Would have gone for a Corsair Konig but I need a full length seatube for the rase post.

Completely agree, bring back the dog license and tag all dogs that way the owners can be made responsible for thier dogs actions. The only useful dogs are working dogs. Cant stand the **** things.

Reba’s also have the option of Maxle lite, just got some reba teams off winstanleys for £400 with bolt thru, saved me converting the hub back to q/r and a lot stiffer.

Wouldn’t touch an X-Trail as a mate had nothing but trouble with his and I’ve read similar problems on various websites. Test drove a cashcow and found it to be very dull and understeery. Ended up with a Ford Kuga which is much more satisfying to drive, even works in mud too.. I’d recommend taking one for a test drive.

Have 3, ride 2 of them.

GT Zaskar gets used for most stuff, xc and generally mountain biking if there is such a thing these days.

Commencal MaxMax, gets used for taking the kids to school, arsing about in the skate park and trying to keep up with my son on the BMX track. It’ll be good for play days on the DH track when summer comes too.

87′ Muddy Fox explorer was bought to build as a commuter but is still in bits waiting for me to get round to putting it together.

Might be worth giving fensa a ring to see where you stand, but that is one of the guidlines set out in order for a company to be registered.

Was the company a Fensa registered installer? if so they have to provide an insurance backed guaratee
