The knob on my standard gravity dropper came off in my hand. Cable tied it back on and proceeded with the ride. It worked like that until I sold it several months later.

i would just stop, put seat down manually, then be off again

Stopping isn’t really an option in an enduro race.

As for the sheath, you dont have to use it but given the amount of mud we have I think I’ll be leaving it on.

I’ve already broke a gravity dropper(knob came off) and a maverick(kept sticking down), hopefully this one will last a bit longer.

Not a lot of horizontal bracing on that north shore, I reckon it would fold if Ton went over it.

The top of the steerer tube looks like this…

    [/url]

I was a bit worried about it cracking further but saying that it has been on the bike for a while without me noticing. The steerer might be a touch short for the new frame anyway so I still might end up sending Mr Flooks £175

    Cant find any raceface ones.
Gusset or manitou ones on CRC look like they might fit.

shouldn’t matter that its going on a DH frame. the SFN shouldn’t be under any serious tension

unless the steerer tube snaps, more of a saftey net issue rather than tension

Yes the HR dept “dont know anything about it either” well the one in the store she works at doesn’t. I’ve got a leaflet with all the details on so might give her that to take in.

    What ChrisS said..

I’ve had a meta that came in at 31lb and now ride a 27lb Rush, 110mmm travel rear and 120 up front. With a shorter than stock stem and risers its more than capable of keeping up with longer travel bikes on the downhills. Uphills are easier even with the 50mm stem I use.

So are these Rush things as good as Dirt say they are?

    In a word… Yes

I only ever feel underbiked on really high speed rock gardens for everything else apart from full on DH they are great. Light, Fast and Agile witha short stem and riser you can throw it about all over.

I think if I was Gary Fisher I’d be tempted to go for an Image change, either that or get Glitter bumped off and do us all a favour.

I use fox knee shin jobbies when riding with flat pedals and I now fancy a pair of 661 evo pads for the xc bike on spuds following a little low speed off where I landed on my knee.

Brilliant cant see why you would get flamed. I taught my 6 year old drop off’s, he loves riding his bike, would be wrong not too encourage him.

Just kick his face in, if he is incapable of holding an intelligent conversation and getting his point of view across rationally then the only thing he will probably understand is violence.

Must admit even when I have been riding cheeky trails the gamekeepers and farmers have been fairly polite when addressing me, only once have I been verbally abused and then he got told where to go and I carried on riding where I wanted.

Ahh, adverts those things I fast forward through whislt watching what I want on Sky+. Cant stand freckin adverts complete and utter waste of my time, much rather just pay my licence fee and have no adverts, unfortunately some of the things I like to watch aren’t on the BBC hence the sky+ so I can avoid them. They irritate me so much that I refuse to watch in real time.

Oh dear, feel sorry for her kids, but no great loss for me. Dont really feel anything when a celebrity dies its not like you know them.

Dont think we have heard the last from her as no doubt Max Clifford has some more money making idea’s up his sleeve. Expect another biography and the Jade Goody Memorial appearing somewhere. Must admit when she was alive I always saw her as a media whore and I dont think my opinion will be changed because she is dead.
