I use a thermarest.. they do quite a range from super light and expensive, to more bulky and cheap. Bought one years ago for sleeping out in sub zero temps. Massive improvement in comfort over a roll mat.

Yes you could.. but if you’re venting WCs then possibly pumping smells into the other area wouldn’t be good – not sure how 100% effective a non return flap would be on something like this.

Why not put an inline fan on the external side of the Y.. pulling air from both? Switching would be a little more complicated, but not rocket science.

The calipers will need pushing back. Put the old pads in and wiggle a large flat headed screwdriver in to push them back.. If they still wont go back then they may be sticking. Mine ended up like this after many years of zero maintenance. Ended up buying new piston kit from formula and replacing. Wouldn’t class it as an easy job, but it’s not rocket science. New pots in, new dot4, give them a bleed (took a couple of goes to get the technique) and they’re like new.

nicko, as long as you roughly match engine revs to in gear speed then it’ll go into gear without too many grinding noises. I used to do this to ease the boredom driving a landrover around an airfield all day.

I’ve gone from having both personal and works mobiles on Vodafone, to personal on EE and work on O2. 3G coverage around the place is certainly better on EE but not sure about O2.

Turning off wifi and running speedtest on both gives the win to EE. 2.48d/1.55u on EE vs 1.2d/0.51u on O2

    This is central Southampton.

surfer, to link from flickr, use the Grab the HTML/BBCode option, and tick the BB code button. You want the “staticflickr.com” link bit.

Spaniels rule! Looks like yours will grow up to be a good looking chap. Here’s my little girl, probably about 18 months old in this pic.

I remember toilet training was a pain for a few weeks, but the advice above all works. Praise when they get it right and you get to know the signs of an impending poop and place them onto paper / outside beforehand.

    Good luck

Have you checked that they used actual meter readings and not estimated?

If you’re running a direct cable connection you’ll need a crossover cable and also manually set ip addresses at each end. IP addresses should be from the valid local range, eg 192.168.x.x with the ip of the laptop used as the gateway for the XBox. You’ll need to also tell the laptop to share the connection with the xbox.

Does he howl at night? during the day? when left? with company?

My Springer doesn’t howl, but she will have a good bark when the foxes start their screeching at night the moment.

To add to the good advice from deft above, for AOSB ensure you’re fit, medically and physically and have a good grasp of current affairs. You’ll talk in groups about various topical issues, you’ll have to give presentation and work through problems which will involve lots of mental arithmetic. Being a ninja at time / distance / speed calculations will be a bonus!
If Capita are involved, expect to have all your paperwork lost a couple of times and spend lots of time waiting on hold.

If it’s a plastic soil pipe, then you want a “strap on boss”.. Basically drill a neat hole into the soil pipe, clean up, attached fitting and tighten strap around the soil pipe to make it all water tight.

Any decent plumbers merchant or largish B&Q etc should sort you out.

Centre of Southampton… two iphone 4s’s on EE and Vodafone, 4.14 Mbps for EE and 1.24Mbps with Vodafone. I can see both cell masts (they’re on our buildings!)

    Vodafone is bobbins.

Think I paid 80 quid for my last load of mixed unseasoned hardwood.. stacked in the store it’s probably a little over 2m³. Has been drying out nicely over the summer and it’s burning up a treat!

Boiler has been on the blink since Fri so it’s a lifesaver!

My springer loves running with me, but I wouldn’t want to run her too far in the summer as I’d worry about her overheating without her regular dips into the nearest stream / the sea.

I’d say go for the Architect or other suitably qualified person. It sounds like a fairly simple job, so a Technician, Surveyor or Engineer could probably get you a decent set of drawings to pass planning & building regs. For the uninitiated Building Regs aren’t straightforward unless you have a in depth knowledge of the requirements. Experience is king here.

+1 for 123 reg. V cheap and you can also do hosting with them. Think they have a site builder type thing which may help the OP if they aren’t up for building their own.

    What’s your budget?
Maybe a ReadyNAS backing up to external USB3 drive which could be disconnected and taken offsite?
Simple backup procedure and gives you guard against disk failure on your day to day storage.

How much data are we talking about.?

Pulled the first tick of the year out of my puppy dog’s ear the other day. Will be checking her daily from now on. The tick twisters great and worth the couple of quid.

Not all personally mine, but among the club I used to ride with..
Broken free wheel bodged with twigs and zip ties to make a fixie.. Snapped full sus frame bodged with metal tyre levers and zip ties.. to make ride-able back to car.
Slashed tyre bodged with toothpaste tube and…… zip ties..

There’s a theme developing.. (I carry a lot of zip ties!)

Lots of broken mechs removed and single speed conversions made trail-side.

Payment into a client account safeguards your cash from the organisation holding it.. ie, if the accountants goes bust.. your money is safe. It’s requirement of most professional organisations that may hold money on behalf of a client.

Run a quick cycle with nothing in.. you should be able to see if it’s draining properly..
Does it get up to full speed on the spin? Have you pushed a random button for gentle / no spin?

    To the OP..
Don’t think the UBACS shirt would be much good.. padding on arms isn’t much. Not a substitute for proper pads. Pockets annoying to get into.

The Basha / Poncho (waterpoof sheet for sleeping under) would be ok as an emergency shelter. You generally need a few trees and some bungies to make it work though. Can be used as an excellent emergency stretcher though should you need to evac your riding buddy from the trail.
Packs down to a sausage about 25cm by 10 in diameter.
