So I guess old troll-pants up there ^^ is saying, as I suggested…get a good sports therapist to get into those muscles

If you are using the roller/stretching properly and still having continuing pain I’d be looking for a good physio or sports therapist…believe me, it’ll hurt when they get the elbow in but they will also give you a set of stretches and exercises to do that should fix you up.

If you’re showboating new kit, would you let the YTS kid wrap the tape?? 8O

I like on-one but I do think they have a bit further to go with respect to customer service.

    Very, very this! ^^

Always had great service from O-O but just had a bad one (item showing in-stock but was OOS and had to fight to get a refund). It’s as much luck of the draw as to who picks up the phone/email, not necessarily the entire brand.
Oh and don’t expect any apologies for their cock-ups.

Thanks for the input chaps, the Mary’s are too narrow and the promotos and bend 2’s are really hard to get hold of…I ordered some fleegles thru on-one in 31.8 but they were out of stock despite showing in stock on the website and I’m still fighting to get a refund despite numerous promises from them and reluctant to have to change stems to 25.4 too(notice brant is away and it all goes to rat shit there) :

Bit worried the jones bars might lead on to a frame and fork purchase to accompany…this could get expensive!

Blimey, you’re certainly going in at the deep end! :D Plenty of testing and tweaking and you’ll be dialled in in no time. Good luck and feel free to contact if you have any questions etc.

What spacer thing?? You should have the carrier with half the sprockets on, the remainder of sprockets which go on in sequence plus the lock ring.

I’m sure there were some folk on a different thread recommending these bloody KMC jobs the other day…WTF…

I take it some of you have struggled with them too.

Never had problems with SRAM links…slooking like I’ll just break the chain purchase some of them at this rate.

    POSTED 22 MINUTES AGO # REPORT-POST

SRAM are definitely easier but kmc are doable and easy without the tool once you get the feel as per my post above. Now go grab a beer out of the fridge, hitch up your skirt and persevere!

They are a bastard but there is a definite knack to it! Tools didn’t work for me, cut a wire coat hanger so you have a v shaped structure, hook around links each side to give you slack in the chain, then waggle the quick link laterally then as above, thumb and forefinger each side and push together. It’ll take some time but once you get the feel you’ll be able to release it first time every time…one of those v satisfying jobs once you get it but soooo f’kin frustrating while its not budging!

Conversely I think your GT looks ace!!
If you can afford another bike then go for it but personally I have 3 bikes but could essentially own one and wear it in many different guises…lots to be said for that!

    a) will toxins actually be drained?

I drink as much water as I can get in me after a massage, then piss like a race horse all evening…If I dont follow this process I feel pretty grim the following day.

So, after my Strava head count thread – what about people from the cycling world you’ve claimed the scalp of?

Local ones for me are Alan Sheldon – Polaris winner – and co-rider with Aidan Lehuep (some people will recognise these names), along with Steve Heading (Whyte test rider)/ general all round XC cycling god

You are truly awesome!!! In the next life I want to come back as you!! STRAAAVVAAA!!!

Not very helpful but have a look at those fat bontrager ones (can’t remeber what they are called!). Totally agree about the Conti ones, have 2.4 xkings on mine and unless bone dry, they are useless. They will be heading to the bin very soon …

Really? I’d contest the ‘unless bone dry they’re useless’ comment, I rode Xking F and Kenda karma R all last winter in clay based slop on my rigid SS, never got round to switching to winter tyres and slid around a lot but I made it through…prob did a lot for my handling skills in the long run. Not willy waving, just saying tyre selection isn’t the be all and end all

I’ve got a 66fit roller in “ard flavour. Instant relief when I use it in my ITB and I mean instant. If you’ve got specific areas that the roller can’t touch/awkward to get to use a tennis ball, that’s a whole new world of pain!

This is amateur. You should get a timelapse app on your phone and timelapse record the whole thing. That’s my plan for the weekend.

To be clear, this is for the headset, so some may get on the carbon steerer of the forks.

Not sure what you mean? Headset looks like it’s already pressed, just wipe any excess grease off of the cups and inside the headtube.
