You see plenty of people drinking coffee at the wheel, why is lager any different?

    Is that a serious post??

Prob not much help to your question OP but for MTB duties, fiveten or duffs offer a stiffer sole and better protected heel/toe box ime. Swore by vans 30 years ago whilst dropping into halfpipes on 4 little wheels, now protection seems all important :D

As above, 2 mins and you’re there, cant remember whether it’s a 7 or 8mm spanner but it’s a POP, no faffage and no re-bleed necessary :-)

For the sake of £20 difference over X amount of use versus 100g of weight saving vs 10 x that of mud and clag….I wouldn’t bother over thinking it too much tbh

I think TiRED is referencing the internal bolt system genesis use, here’s mine with surly tug bolt for tool free adjustment. I use one each side, works very well and nice and tidy.

It’s been ok for over a year so I guess you got unlucky fenred! You must have a case for a replacement or refund there?

Yes hopefully just had an unlucky/MF faulty headset John. Bought and fitted a new identical HS at the wkend and whilst knocking out the old lower cup noticed a slight burr that could have caused the cartridge to fail…will see how the new one goes. 18 miles on Sunday seemed all good so we’ll see, otherwise a warranty claim and a replacement Hope HS will be on the cards :?

Nice! I keep pumping your vids out to a friend in Canada who enjoys seeing them. The guys over there seem to be into buying up the cheap walmart mongoose ‘fatgooses’ and tricking them out slightly for next to no money and running *gulp* coaster brake…I rode beach cruisers over there a few years back with coasters! Great fun and bullet proof too! 8)
My mates new cheap as chips ‘goose….

Glad you enjoyed it! When it was first recommend to me I couldn’t believe it was the same trio that became the 80’s commercial dross that ‘made them’…that album and pretty much anything by SRV are my fave blues plays 8)

thats a whole lot of on one loving

Get yourself over to mtbr and have a look at some of the builds on there….lots sport headsets worth more than the frames…now that’s lurve!! 8)

Currently toying with the idea of upgrading the frame to something more ‘exotic’ but I reckon I’d miss it if it went

I have the 596 on my trail bike and the 615’s on my SS, both are easy to bleed (kit from epicbleed) and I’ve shortened three sets of hoses now without having to bleed again after.

Power on the 615’s is quite frankly jaw dropping!

Get your ears around ‘rancho texacano’ by ZZ Top, just before they sold out  …You won’t correlate the then and now…. Seriously good sheeet!

How easy are they to bleed after a hose shorten?

The last 2 hose shortens I’ve done didnt require a bleed after.

Yamaha RX475 AV receiver, pair of CA S30’s and a Tanoy SFX sub does me just fine.

Recently bought a Yamaha RX-V475, great sound quality for both music and movies, 5 hdmi ports, built in airplay. Not sure if available in silver but highly recommended.

Can’t add any advice, other than I thought I was relatively bike fit until I jumped back on my road bike/turbo a couple of weeks ago…oooft, the pain!

    Will watch with interest…

If it’s noisy then putting it on some rubber matting can help

Halfords are doing trainer mats for £20 atm :-)
