    Swift, precise, satisfying

When you describe precise, do you mean you always manage to get it ‘in’ the pan, or ‘in the pan, round the bend, no skidz along the way”?
…sorry, just curious like and a bit concerned I’m not a precise and accurate as I could/should be 8O

Camo, might be cos nicotine is more addictive than alcocrackcrystalmethcaine that the smokes have stayed with us all.

*reminisces about leaning against the bar, sipping Tennants Extra whilst stoking that plastic black, back-lit “T” and Smurkin a tab indoors!*

edit – I never actually stroked the “T”…That sounds all wrong

We used to mix tennants super, diamond white and port, we called it ‘Snakebosh’

    *feel slightly nauseous*

Good effort tho, was it drinkable or so thick you had to spoon it out?

haha! It definately had magic properties

One of those beers that HAD to be drunk draught, out of the can just wasnt the same. I remember when I worked in the City as a spotty 16/17 year old regularly (3x per week) shift 3 or 4 pints of that stuff at lunchtime then going back to work totally off me nut…Couldnt do that now  ah happy days

If your middleburn ring is quieter the issue must lie with the chainring :?

Playing your video back it really does make a racket so cr aside Im a bit bamboozled. Mine only happpens in 34t sprocket and as I say its occasional and under load.

Share your pain tho, particularly with a new build, might be worth a bump in the morning to see if anyone else has advice…

edit- If I ever consider jumping off a kurb or riding over a speedbump I always quickly stop and put a chain device on…then quickly take it off again immediately after until the next gnarcore obsticle leaps out in front of me

Alternatively, set everything up right from the outset. :D

Can of worms, some say yes, others say no…unramped ring and a jump-stop works well for me, other will insist on a guide. Depends upon your riding/terrain/ego

So which 1×9 rings are people using? I would prefer (ironically) to avoid middleburn

I experience this occasionally on my 1×9 setup, but it seems more pronounced when the chain is dirty. Kind of comes and goes.

I use an on one 32t SS ring, dont recal hearing anything on the old ramped RF 32t chainring so could be cr related…Not going back to ramped though.

Good luck and well done’s to above.

Not had one today and no nrt…Could quite easily have a “falling down” moment at anytime

Any STWers own a straight jacket I could borrow?

Anyone heard from morgs or camo?

Well done on ‘fessing up binners. I’ve been off the wagon all week/wkend and felt guilty/rough/stinky after each one. Intial nicotine ‘hit’ is great, then it’s all downhill from there eh?
…Good luck with the tongue-lashing fron TJ tho

Satsumas and pistachio’s at the ready here….Might go and purchase one of those NRT crack pipe things (as recommended by Khani) if things get sketchy by lunchtime…Good luck!

Thanks guys, good advice and pretty much what I expected.

I’m guessing with a frame as versatile as the 456 a u-turn is prob the way to go.

    Appreciate the input :-)

It’s reasonable weather this wkend. It can be hard to motivate yousrelf sometimes to get out but rarely have I come back feeling it was a WOT.

Buy some new kit, lid, gloves, watch some clips anything that will inspire you…It’ll come back

Yep, I’ve switched to flats recently for various reasons, namely practicing technique (dropping heels etc. Much prefer running flats in winter and not having cleats and bindings clog up with gloop. SPD’s will go back on next Spring.
