RF cranks and XT bb’s will work but its a hideous experience getting them to gel…spacers have nothing to do with it Ime. Tightening the crank bolt is the key, and when I say tighten, I mean gritted teeth and take out your anger!! Not good but it’ll bite in the end then no more wobbly crank arms…alternatively do what I did and Marry an xt crank set to your bb and relax….perfect design/fit.

I ordered a pair of XT crank bolts last week, received a personalised email from the retailer apologising thar item is out of stcck and the suppliers have a global shortage of them and I won’t be seeing them until end April at the earliest.

Next mornings post arrives with 2 XT crank bolts…hmmmmm

On my consider list are fulcrum red power XL, halo trail XC, hope pro2 evo on crests, SS evo on crests, xt on something ( shimano or mavic)

All similar mullah with pros and cons for each…it’s doing my nut in thinking about it all tbh :evil:

Will be building up a 26er HT from my parts bin when I get time, firstly because the parts are all there but mainly so that I can compare a 26er again to my 3 month old 29er…going to try to keep an open mind, despite already anticipating the result :D

Yes, it was an official label, weighed, franked with the correct postage. We send out tons of stuff from work like this, many heavier than the frame and box it was sitting in…Will get things chased up today and report back later…Guess it’ll be useful for future reference.

Appears thar my never having shipped a frame before vs work telling me “we can get that shipped for you” vs Postie scanning and taking away :? has turned a simpe transaction into a potential out of pocket situation. :cry:

The frame wasnt too big for first class recorded, the package is measured by weight, not size and it fell well within the maximum allowance. As I mentioned, it was picked up from work, scanned and carried away by the usual postie, I think he would have commented if it were a impossible mission for him/RM…I also added my “senders address” to the box so surely it would have been returned to sender rather than being marooned at a depot somewhere?

Bought some formula bianco K24’s on classifieds here and once I learned to set them up properly been really happy with them…loads of well balanced mod and power. As hope products, apparently rebuildable…hth
