Any links to strava routes would be great too.

Thanks for replies. Are any of the places stand out better than others? Just an hr drive each way could end of being most of the day.

On the triple I run 42/32/24 and pretty much only sit in the middle ring and spin. I have a double on a different bike thats not Q rings and run 39/26 and rarely go in the bottom.

Its a 29er. I curently run Q Rings on it as a 3 x 10 so would like to stick to Q Ring but it only comes in a 34T.

Actually I am the other way at the moment. With this weather i am grabbing the MTB and riding local wood and trails as I have loads of friends who have either come off in the wet or hit a pothole in the water etc and have done some damage to themselves meaning they now cant ride at all. MTB seems a safer bet – although its been xc style riding not DH.

I’ve found northwave shoes narrower than sidi’s – not by much, but noticeable

Did you go for same euro sizing in both makes?

No, but was thinking about taking my road bike there. Think its a one man band so can wait a while but heard good reports.

I’ve a 24 and 38 and spider of a set of X0 cranks with very few miles I was going to stick up on the classifieds

Thanks. Not sure I can justify a set of XO. I am uncertain if that would mean replacing BB too or would they fit straight on?

I have an Anthem X2, £1199 at Pedal On for 2013 at the moment which is a great deal allowing plenty for upgrades etc. Think only got Large left though.

Agreed. Thinking people wouldn’t recommend an uncomfortable one.

I have never used CO2 on MTB. Is it the same cartridge as road? What sort of pressure does that put a 29er tube to?

    Thanks.

Does Friel’s MTB book have programmes to follow or just give advice on how to structure a programme?

    Thanks.

Thanks. The conti I have are new so do you recommend I move them on and buy tubeless tyres or try them?

Northend – they are tubeless ready rims thanks.

What about the wired mountain king tubeless? Read that wired could damage the tubeless strip on rims.

I believe the T in XCT means tubeless ready.

Does that mean I can use standard contis then? Read loads and seems like they may take a few days to seal and not leak?

What’s the verdict on mountain king front and x king rear for xc?

Interesting that they also list the Karma race at the same weight:

The blue route is 7km in length, never rode it the opposite way, although I did meet two people riding it the other way last week!

Thanks, I would have to wait a while for the whyte 19.

Been looking at the BeOne Karma race/comps, they seem good value in the sales at 899/699.

There is just too many bikes!
